📢Finally out in @CellRepMethods! We developed DCTC — an isolation protocol for live cells from murine pancreas
✅No fixation or dead cell removal
✅80-90% acinar cells
⚡️Uncovered acinar cell heterogeneity & ADM dynamics
⭐️scRNA-seq | fow cytometry

📣 !! JOB ALERT for PhD students !!
My lab is moving to the M3 Research Center at the University of Tübingen and is looking for PhD students who are enthusiastic about translational research.
If you are, read on below ⬇️
#Metabolic programming is essential for the initiation of #pancreatic#carcinogenesis and thus identifies potential targets for metabolic intervention

Excellent point. Even if these are backed by good intentions (which is doubtful), the execution of it will bring only minor changes to the numbers but certainly hamper scientific research on a large scale.#AcademicTwitter
This situation will decelerate some research fields. These rules should be shaped internationally.Otherwise, it's just racing under inequal conditions. 1/5

@CaATiER_Chop_ER@AmendAnnalena Thanks Jing. The key might be “sustained” ER stress - needs further investigation. However, in Pdia6 model, insulin is down at P21 concomitantly with only modest increase in ER stress, suggesting alternative, perhaps indirect action of Pdia6 on insulin transcripts.
Happy to share the journal pre-proof of @NiravFC and my study on the effects of a point mutation in the Pdia6 gene on beta-cell identity and resulting diabetes. We are excited to release this into the beta cell community 🤗🥳 @MolMetab

Nirav Chhabra et al. @DiabResearch + @HelmholtzMunich found that a Pax6 point mutation identified in a patient with foveal hypoplasia alters circadian rhythms and B cell function without affecting glucose tolerance in mice. #diabetes ➡️https://t.co/SgHVB7O7jU
