I learned a significant amount about how to do scientific research, especially on how to use search engines for academic articles such as google scholar and more. This has become crucial for me in the research process. #whatilearnedin39c

Social media is such a good medium for advocating for certain things, however especially in the case of animal rights. It can be extremely influential and makes it easy to connect with other individuals with the same ideas. #whatilearnedin39c

Organizations such as the Marine Stewardship Council have placed many regulations in place on fishing companies regarding shark finning, which helps with shark finning as an issue to a moderate extent. https://t.co/mga4bAktQt.

Longline tuna fishing is a method of fishing in which long lines of fishing nets are dragged following a boat to catch large amounts of tuna, however this method of fishing can be very dangerous for other sea creatures, especially sharks. #39canimals

While at first it doesn’t seem like it would impact sharks negatively, cage diving can be extremely dangerous for sharks. They can get caught up in the cage wires, and oftentimes injured when trying to swim near the cages. #39canimals
