@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran If your medical issues are neurological, cognitive, respiratory, cardiovascular, or gastrointestinal, there’s a good chance they’re related to COVID if the onset is within a year of infection. If you developed a gallstone 8 mos after COVID, with no other symptoms, probably not.

@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran 21 months later I started having good days and weeks here and there, with many ups and downs. It’s now 2y 2mos after, and I’m working 25% time. I also spent the morning inexplicably vomiting. But I have hope.

@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran 12 months after my infection I finally connected the dots to my early “dizziness” and suspected Long Covid. 18 months afterwards I was bedridden and forced to quit my job and PhD in my final year. 21 months after my infection I sought medical help specifically for LC.

Four months after my infection I knew something was wrong, but thought I was having a nervous breakdown. Nine months after my infection I was unable to work and parent, but still trying

@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran I’d say if your symptoms match those typical of LC, and began within six months or so after your infection, it’s very possible it’s LC. Six months is generous, but in my case, it started off so mild that I didn’t connect the dots for over a year.

@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran Yet, my Long COVID symptoms are essentially “textbook”: Autonomic nervous system dysfunction (POTS and more), fatigue, post-exertional malaise, GI issues, and cognitive impairment. My symptoms began within a few weeks post-infection, but became much worse over time

@Horsepaste99 @renudhinakaran This is the case for some, and not others. My Long COVID symptoms bear almost no resemblance to my acute infection, which was close to asymptomatic. I tested positive and felt tired for today or two, but had no fever, no loss of taste/smell, no cough, or any other common symptoms

Arctic sea ice is on it's way up. 12th lowest in 2021 & "the last 15 years are the lowest 15 sea ice extents in the satellite record" @NSIDC Polar bears that spent the summer on multiyear ice will move towards continental shelves & bears on land will move onto ice as it expands.
