@Worldsource24 I maintained the electrical/automation for MI's 2nd largest water plant and game played a cyber attack out after the stuxnet virus became public. There was very little anyone could do, potentially cause a disruption for a few hours tops and theres enough reserves to ride through

@DougAMacgregor Why take out water if they could via computer, which they cannot, when you could take out the power grid and take out everything. Although we have backup gens that can operate to 60% capacity

@WizardryProgram @DougAMacgregor I agree, if they take down a water filtration plant for more than a few hours its not Iran. Our plant of 90mgd capacity could be completely run manually without automation. As long as operators remember how its not an issue. Wastewater is much harder and more vulnerable

@DougAMacgregor I maintained the electrical/automation at MI's 2nd largest water plant for 30yrs. I game played this out after stuxnet virus. Unless the plant can't operate without the scada/plc network there is not much they can do with a hack. Id be more afraid of a power grid hack, 10 for 1
