Adding to a day of transformative partnerships, Kampala International University (KIU) and Kabale University (KAB) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, June 11th, 2026 at KIU Western Campus.

The agreement outlines collaboration in four major areas:

🔹 Research Capacity & Resource Mobilization – training in grant writing, proposal development, budgeting, and strengthening research governance.

🔹 Joint Research & Graduate Training – collaborative projects, co‑authored publications, shared supervision, and academic events.

🔹 Academic Exchange & Professional Development – student exchanges, short courses, dual degree programmes, and development of e‑learning materials.

🔹 Facilities & Technical Expertise – sharing laboratories, workshops, libraries, and advisory services across faculties.

Leaders from both institutions emphasized unity, inclusivity, and innovation, reaffirming their commitment to producing competent graduates, advancing research, and contributing meaningfully to national development.
