As the US and EU and many other actors are building global surveillance and censorship infrastructure, citizens must build decentralized and anti-surveillence infra. Federated, encrypted comms systems for chat and social media, private meshnets. Existing ones are insufficient.

What does this have to do with JetBrains? We are talking about Cursor. Like every single thing you mentioned is in no way related to the topic. Cursor subscription != Codex nor Anthropic subscription. Anthropic is known to be butthurt about using their sub in any harness, while their tooling sucks (it sucks less than it used to but still).

@johnennis The new models from Anthropic are openly user-hostile. Their first thought every time is to find a problem with what the user said. It is incredibly annoying.

@rajhphuyal Closed labs are so paranoid about open source catching up to them and people "stealing" what they stole anyway, that they are sabotaging all their models to the point of unusability, while chinese labs catch up to him. Genius strategy Cotton let's see how it works out for him.
