Why we left Alden

The Orlando Sentinel unionized in 2020 with roughly 59 reporters. Today we have 32. Here is why they left:

You can’t enjoy your time off because you have a second job or side gig to cover the rest of your bills. Whether it realizes it or not, Tribune is pushing out employees who don’t benefit from generational wealth – often journalists of color – and its newsrooms are poorer for it.
