Arguably the best US Space Shuttle. Happily retired after 26 years of service to @NASA. Fan of spaceflight and rocketry. Not a real Shuttle - parody account!
It’s been a rough time lately. Both online & in real life.
I want to say “can’t we just get along?”, but I know it’s never that easy.
Hopefully things will change sooner rather than later.
That’s all I’m going to say before I revert to “sleep mode” again. I need a nap. Cheers!
Who’s excited for the return of crewed space flight since the shuttle program from the US?
T- 4 days 15 hours!
It’s a bit different from us Shuttles but well, someone’s gotta get the job done, and I’m not leaving my hangar anytime soon...
With #USSF7 launch this weekend, another spaceplane use to launch on DOD flights. January 24, 1985, Discovery on mission 51-C, the first dedicated DOD flight. Because it was DOD flight, NASA did not provide commentary until the terminal countdown sequence was initiated.

🗓️ #OnThisDay in 1989 the US Space Shuttle STS-30 landed. During the mission, Atlantis deployed the Venus-bound Magellan probe into orbit. It's now on display at the awesome @ExploreSpaceKSC. https://t.co/893m2j4zrN
The team at SpaceX’s rocket development facility in McGregor, Texas completed a static fire test today of the Falcon 9 first stage that will launch Crew Dragon’s first operational mission (Crew-1) with 3 @NASA astronauts and 1 @jaxa_en astronaut on board later this year
The McGregor team also completed a static fire test earlier this week of Falcon 9’s second stage engine for the Crew-1 mission, which will propel Crew Dragon toward the @space_station once the first stage separates and reorients to land back on Earth
A new era of human spaceflight is set to begin as astronauts once again launch from American soil to the @Space_Station.
@AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug will fly on @SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft, lifting off on a Falcon 9 🚀 at 4:32 p.m. ET on May 27: https://t.co/Pk9yR97KwH
#OTD 30 years ago, I successfully launched @NASAHubble. Please join me in wishing her a very special and happy 30th birthday; she would appreciate it very much! #HappyBirthdayHubble 🥳🎉
At this moment 30 years ago, @NASAHubble was successfully launched to orbit aboard Space Shuttle Discovery as part of the STS-31 mission. She was deployed the next day, & has since given us the best views of our universe that we’ve ever seen. Keep it up, Hubble! 🌌

Happy birthday, Hubble! 🎂✨🔭🛰️🚀🎉
Launched #OTD 30 years ago today, the NASA/ESA @Hubble_space telescope has been revolutionising astronomy research, bringing our wonderful cosmos to everyone's home: https://t.co/r2oPo9F3pf
