Data Science is critical in both #DeSci and #DeAI

[Simon Dedic @sjdedic]

Here are some insights that stood out to me recently:

I’m speaking with other VCs daily, including some of the biggest and most reputable firms in the space.

While market hype shifts quickly from one narrative to the next, smart money and major institutions obviously are monitoring the market way deeper, with a longer-term focus and a broader perspective.

What stands out is that the overlap among the vast majority of these players is concentrated on three key verticals:

DePIN
DeSci
DeAI

Of course, there are other promising verticals that some big investors are also bullish on. However, I found it striking how these three resonate with the absolute majority.

By now, it seems pretty obvious that, compared to others, these areas are not just trends - they’re here to stay forever.

Pump #DeSci lol 😀

[Wu Blockchain @WuBlockchain]

Pump Science, the DeSci launch platform on Solana, issued a warning that the private key of its wallet T5j2U...jb8sc for creating URO and RIF tokens has been leaked because the developer left the private key of the wallet in the code base. The attacker used the address to generate new tokens. All tokens created through this wallet are considered fraudulent projects. https://t.co/OIVH3sgytK

Octan is the next alpha of #DeSci, building onchain data science and data intelligence, established by a novel onchain reputation ranking system, making Pagerank (a trillion-dollar algorithm) great in #Web3

[Simon Dedic @sjdedic]

For what it’s worth, I went through this tweet’s 300 comments to filter out the biggest DeSci alpha for you guys.

Here are the Top10 DeSci coins that seem to get a lot of mindshare:

1) $LAKE - @DataLakeToken

2) $RSC - @ResearchHub

3) $GENOME - @GenomesDAO

4) $AXGT - @AxonDAO

5) $VITA - @vita_dao

6) $TRAC - @origin_trail

7) $MET - @metforminsol

8) $RIF - @pumpdotscience

9) $GLP1 - @GLP1science

10) $CRYO - @cryodao

Interesting results, I am a big fan of LAKE, RSC and CRYO myself.

GLP1 is super interesting too and is getting a lot of traction since @Rewkang mentioned it.

Gonna deep dive into some of the others, if you have further suggestions, leave some comments!

1/2. PageRank is a trillion-dollar algorithm. Onchain Data Science is HUGE. Octan is combining the two to build a decentralized reputation ranking system onchain powered by adaptive Pagerank with anonymity. True #Desci

[Andrew Kang @Rewkang]

The DeSci space right now feels like the early 2019 DeFi days. Everything is still raw, experimental, but there's an underlying understanding from this involved that there is massive potential.

It's likely that the current projects won't have the same model/product as they will in the future but that's because they are developing through iteration. It was this way with Maker, Synthetix, and Aave in 2019 which were clunky microcaps that are now massive protocols

Have found these to be the most interesting

Make #DeSci great. Octan is leading onchain data science with a native Web3 reputation & Sybil detection onchain to establish trustworthiness & credibility onchain without compromising anonymity philosophy of blockchain (i.e NO need of proof of personhood)

[YZi Labs @yzilabs]

At last week’s DeSci Day at the Binance Labs BUIDLer House in Bangkok, we brought together a like-minded community of about 50 biotech and DeSci enthusiasts to exchange ideas and network.

During the 3-hour session, speakers shared insights on topics ranging from the evolution of biotech to Rapamycin and longevity, citizen science, bioDAOs, on-chain IPs, AI agents for science, and more.

Notable bioDAOs shared exciting updates–VitaDAO launched their first longevity supplement, approved by the Thai FDA. HairDAO is expanding with a new wet lab, patenting their second idea, and launching a shampoo with impressive results for hair loss.

We also invited CZ and Vitalik to interact with the community through an open Q&A session and network with other DeSci founders and builders.
