Working to get litter off the ground (and out of trees, hedges, and waterways) through education, projects, and community empowerment. Formerly @RubbishWalksCPM
Thread (1):
Angry about the amount of #litter appearing now that restrictions are lessened?
The behaviour that causes it never went away, even during lockdown.

LOST DOG: Answers to Traveller
My parents have lost their travel mascot! This little guy was a gift from a neighbour's daughter and they feel awful that they won't be able to show her any of his adventures.
@lostteddybear Can you help?

Nothing will be done to address litter and waste prevention until litter picks stop being a photo op and PR exercise for politicians: https://t.co/QoGV0TUgD6
BREAKING: "You dropped something, Jeremy!"
We gatecrashed @Jeremy_Hunt's litter pick photo op and handed him the report Cabinet has refused to honour. By not banning waste exports, he is committed to polluting the world with our trash. Awks!😬

In the past I foolishly assumed that there would of course be a plan in place for tree maintenance after tree planting events, but the truth is mind-boggling.
Yes! This needs shouting louder. Planting trees is pretty useless unless there’s a plan to nurture their growth. Dead saplings don’t restore tree cover, biodiversity or carbon sequestration. https://t.co/mDLTVwOdYX
@DeclanBaseley@ChippHarriers Get in touch if you want to discuss how we can prevent litter from happening in the first place.
#Chippenham needs behaviour change: https://t.co/QHn4L9E3MN
An estimated 22 million items of furniture are annually discarded in the UK of which at least 20% is suitable for resale or reuse. Retailers & charities have joined together to create a 'Circular Change Council' seeking to cut waste & boost circulaity https://t.co/aFwIhg6QqB
I'm a little late in sharing this, but @StuartHumphryes's new book is truly mesmerising. I spent a lovely Saturday afternoon time travelling courtesy of his amazing autochrome enhancements. Well worth following.
Warning: ranty🧵ahead.
It’s only been a few days, but I am already getting tired of those who say that #SycamoreGap is getting all the attention while nobody does anything or cares about the state of the environment.
They are clearly looking at the wrong Twitter feeds. (1/7)
It looks like I can add @michaelastracha and others to my #SycamoreGap thread as one of the many people who are trying to bring attention to this problem in the best way they know.
This wed, @channel5_tv , 7pm I'm presenting a Shit Show 💩! Literally! 'Swimming In Sewage, Britain's Water Scandal'. Sewage, wet wipes, toxic chemicals, it's all in there! Met @mattstaniek, @CleanIlkley, Mark Barrow, @bunce_sally, @PutneyFleur all amazing campigners #sewage
Having walked Hadrian’s Wall just last summer, #SycamoreGap was a powerful symbol and I feel its loss. But when all is said and done, I and the thousands of people like me who mourn this tree will go back to doing what we do every day ... (6/7)
