@ntvkenya@ruga_eval In reality, this incident can happen on almost any public boarding school today. If public health and safety standards were to be upheld, upwards of 90% would be shut down. The Minister knows it, the Ministry knows it. Pathetic cosmetic response.
@anto_ty@djblaccs@Stats_Kenya The state of our nation. A ranking of BAD to WORST. Moreover, translate these percentages into absolute numbers, & the “stars” like Nairobi and Kiambu, tell a very sorry story of masses wallowing in poverty. The two combined would account for well over a million in poverty.
Diribe Welteji 🇪🇹 has been banned for 2 years!!
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has partially upheld an appeal by World Athletics against Ethiopian middle-distance runner Diribe Welteji.
Welteji has been handed a two-year ban after being found to have committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation for failing to provide a sample during an out-of-competition test on 25 February 2025.
CAS ruled that while her violation was not intentional, she was still negligent and failed to provide compelling justification for not submitting to testing.
Her period of ineligibility runs from 8 July 2025 to 30 June 2027 (with credit for provisional suspension served). All results from 25 February 2025 onward have been disqualified.
