I had the honour of ushering our young leaders of Youth council into the Annual National Youth Council Sitting, as we prepare to celebrate International Youth Day.

I reminded them that young people are not leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders today. The future of our country is already in the hands of this generation, and it is our responsibility to lead with purpose, integrity and courage.

I challenged the Council to move from positions to impact, from complaints to solutions, and from promises to measurable action.

Our young people must be empowered with the skills, opportunities, platforms and confidence to shape Uganda’s transformation, not as spectators, but as active architects of our nation’s future.

As we celebrate Youth Day, let us celebrate not only the energy and potential of our young people, but also their responsibility to serve, innovate, unite and build.
