There’s a lot going on in the background, but I’m really pleased with my output this year. Getting more confident and doing a big range of scales. Plus a full figure sculpt as well.
@kejamieson_ Our club has a very active tri group and even a couple of European duathlon champions (FV65!) but I’ll leave all that to you guys
It’s a choice, I guess! Kudos!
Yesterday I did a one day painting class with the great Erik Swinson on The importance of value. I’ve never done a painting class before.
It was hot, the paint dried quickly, but this is what I achieved. Much learnt and much to put into practice still.

@GarethJennings3 I had this, all bound, but ended up getting rid of it, except I still have Kevin Lyles superb colour plates because they are just so good!
Wish I still had the rest now.
@FightingOnFilm The first subtitled movie I ever watched, when it was on BBC2 and I was still at school. Completely mesmerised.
I’ve bought some superb 1/35 figures from the movie (complete with Kurosawa and camera crew) I have to paint up one day.
@RachelBuk The algorithm sometimes means we don’t always see these posts…
But my most sincere condolences, Rachel. Thoughts are with you and your family
Quickest mini I’ve ever painted. Maybe 4 - 5 hours.
Warhammer Cryptguard - mini of the month.
Used Mindwork Heavy Body acrylics. 5 colours + black and white. Fun mixing and experimenting.
@sommecourt You git. I always watch this whenever it’s posted.
Tear ducts fill when the telephone rings…
Now wiping away the tears.
Never fails.
Powerful cinema.
