You fucked with squirrels, Morty! We got a good five minutes before they're backing up on our ass, Morty! We have to pack up and move to a new reality, Morty! You know I said we could only do that a couple of times! We're fucked over here because of these damn squirrels, Morty!
@mattpocockuk Overall, wsl2 has been really solid. There are a couple of weirdnesses/edge cases on occasion, but I feel like those have been addressed very well. I wouldn't hesitate to give it a shot for your specific use case.
Well this is ridiculously cool... Generate #CDK from the #AWS#Console. From prototyping #IaC to #Automation in minutes. I hope it works as advertised!

@dhh That being said, AWS is well in my comfort zone and I know the patterns that work. If your startup doesn't, do what you know to get started. A bit of a stretch is good, but remember why you're where you are. Or hire me. I consult. 😆
@dhh This is exactly why I do all MVPs on #serverless stuff. I don't need the operational overhead of server maintenance in my startup - I'm trying to prove that the business works. If I outgrow API Gateway, Dynamo, or Lambda, I'll be a very happy individual.
I put my thoughts about the #Crowdstrike#outage down in a blog post. I think there's an opportunity here for us to rethink the risks involved in letting Endpoint Security update whenever it wants. Let's go back to basics. No test. No prod for you.

Crowdstrike just put out steps to remediate the current outage on the end users side. They've emailed them out to every customer and partner. Go check your inboxes!
For those that don't understand what is going on there is a major outage of tons of services and businesses going on globally right now. There is a work around but it is more difficult for companies that encrypted their drives with tools like bitlocker. Some stuff won't work today and it may take a while to fix it all.
Steps are in the image attached:
@geerlingguy It always amazes me how AV companies have a free pass to deploy to production, and that that is just accepted. That old quote rings true "Everyone has a Test environment, but not everyone has a separate Production one." -@CrowdStrike , probably...
