We’ll bring together founders, investors, primes and defense leaders across Southern California’s space and defense ecosystem to explore how Edge AI is moving from concept to operational capability. Register 👉 https://t.co/d0VNWbZx5y
Cutting-edge pharmaceutical R&D has a new home: Outpost Space Factories.
@exobiosphere is our first announced commercial customer. Their automated lab will take the search for new medicines into orbit and we'll bring the research back home.

@outpostspace, the reentry startup building shipping-container-sized Earth return vehicles, announced a new program today—called Space Factories—that will offer customers a way to manufacture goods in orbit, without needing to build bespoke hardware of their own.
Each of the Space Factories is a standardized module that will give in-space manufacturers a way to produce products in space, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and advanced crystals, and get them back shortly after production wraps.
Outpost will be the first user of the Space Factory platform. The company plans to use the module to produce StarFiber, its next-gen metal fluoride optical fiber, on a mission NET 2028.
Payload reporter @Douglas__Gorman spoke with members of the Outpost team about how the new manufacturing service will bring new capabilities to the in-orbit economy. Link below.

The team has spent the summer launching multiple test campaigns to further validate AirDrop, our autonomous aerial delivery system behind precision landing.
These flights help prove the descent and landing architecture that will support payload return from multiple altitudes, including low Earth orbit.
Next stop: orbit.
Yesterday at @outpostspace : From Microgravity to Market with Sophia Space and Aero X Ventures (SoCal Deep Tech Week). Packed house. Conversation moderated by Mayor of El Segundo, Chris Pimentel, with @ImJasonDunn , @UberRob , and @ldmounts .
Getting to orbit is no longer the hard part. Getting things back is. That return leg is what turns in-space production into a market. National goal: 1,000+ launches and reentries a year by 2030 (178 last year).
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
@kperdew@unleashcraig
Launch changed access to orbit. Now we need the infrastructure to bring payloads home.
Outpost is hiring across the teams building that return layer, from engineering and software to operations, finance and business functions.
If you want to help define a new category of space logistics, take a look at our open roles - link in comments.

The return lane from space starts here and we’re hiring the team to make it real.
Outpost is developing reusable Earth-return vehicles designed to bring critical payloads back from orbit with speed, precision and control.
That takes engineers, operators, business teams and builders who want to work on hard problems with real-world impact. Explore open roles and come build the future of space logistics with us: https://t.co/fIAyjWmTzE

What will it take to turn in-space production into a functioning market?
Outpost is hosting From Microgravity to Market: Building the In-Space Economy with @MoonshotsCap, Aero X Ventures, and Sophia Space as part of SoCal Deep Tech Week 2026.
Moderated by El Segundo Mayor Chris Pimentel (@GundoC), the panel will explore the infrastructure needed to move microgravity production from technical possibility to commercial reality.

“The fastest way to get anything around the world is through space.”
@ImJasonDunn, Outpost co-founder and CEO
Our CarryAll vehicle is built for that future: reusable Earth-return vehicles designed to move critical payloads through orbit and bring them back to precise locations on Earth within 60 minutes.
The next logistics layer runs through space. Learn more: https://t.co/Ubt96tS1rF
The return layer from space runs on software.
Outpost is hiring a Software Engineer to help design, build and test the flight and ground software behind our reusable Earth-return vehicles.
This role is for someone who wants to work close to the hardware, solve real aerospace problems and help make precision return from orbit possible.

Our Co-founder and CEO @ImJasonDunn is headed to @payloadspace's Off World in Houston next month!
He’ll join “Return to Sender: The Future of Space Logistics,” a panel on reliable downmass, reusable return and connecting orbit back to Earth.
Sept. 23 | 10:30-11 a.m. CDT
For the first time, reentry is being treated as a national space transportation priority alongside launch.
Our Co-Founder and CEO @ImJasonDunn spoke with @payloadspace about why this shift matters for U.S. space superiority, downmass, and through-space logistics.
Launch gets payloads to orbit. Reentry brings them home. The next era of U.S. space superiority depends on both.
The last time the US released a space transportation policy in November 2013, SpaceX Falcon 9 had flown just six times. Now, Falcon 9 has ~700 flights behind it—and the White House is aiming for more than 1,000 launches and reentries annually by 2030. https://t.co/uPazvt35ZU
Space is becoming more than a place to observe. It is becoming a place to build, manufacture, and move critical capabilities on demand.
Today at @STATION_Austin#FedSupernova, join Outpost Co-founder and CEO @ImJasonDunn and Lauren M. Postler, for a discussion on in-orbit fabrication, on-demand resupply and the logistics infrastructure needed to make space a repeatable production environment.

Outpost is excited to welcome Mechanical Engineer Annette Mendoza. With experience at @blueorigin, @Tesla, @NASA, and @SpaceX, she brings expertise in mechanical design, lunar ISRU, and assembly integration to CarryAll’s mission logistics and Earth-return systems.
#OnThisDay in 1960, the Discoverer 13 capsule returned from orbit, marking the first object ever recovered from space. It flew 17 orbits, splashed into the Pacific Ocean, and was pulled from the water by a U.S. Navy helicopter. Its payload - a single American flag.
Coming home was the milestone then. At Outpost, we're making it infrastructure. Our CarryAll reentry vehicle is built to return payloads within 10 meters of any GPS coordinate within 60 minutes of reentry, at the scale of a 20 ft shipping container.
Outpost, a young company pioneering the return of cargo from space, has joined forces with @TEAGUE1926, a pillar of industrial design for the last 100 years to create a *new class of spacecraft.*
