@ProvisionistP@DBJ540 It becomes a problem for provisionists when Paul applies Gods fee choice to election in Romans 9. That’s why they rain off the rails by defining election service.
@DBJ540@deli_cue@ProvisionistP Yes, defining election as service is obviously absurd with just a cursory study. Provisionists are so diametrically opposed to Gods freedom to choose they ignore any context contrary to their position. Akin to evolutionary arguments, fiat creationism is ruled out indefinitely.
@dfziklag@1984_nate Your statement is a great example of man’s flawed logic.
Human reason is limited, subjective, and bound by experience and perception. Conversely, God's logic is absolute, exhaustive, and comprehensive. There is no comparison.
@writeontheedg3@1984_nate Yes, my argument is circular. Are all circular arguments fallacious? No. Untimely all arguments are circular since there can only be one objective source of authoritative knowledge. The Spirit makes the Word discernible He does not add to it. (Jn 16:13; 1 Cor 2:13)
@1984_nate My epistemology: I cannot know anything apart from divine revelation.
Laws of logic are grounded in Gods rational nature and expressed in His divine Word.
Your rationalism on the other hand will be hung on the gallows of history as cosmic stupidity (1 Cor 1-2; Jer9:23)
@writeontheedg3@1984_nate The point is, we do not rely on human reason. Often what we understand to be sensible, what we think is logical, reasonable and fair, is the opposite of Gods ways. That is what God says about Himself and about man. Gods Word is authoritative not my intellect. Do you agree?
@writeontheedg3@1984_nate God says what He means and means what He says. Men don’t accept His Word not because they can’t comprehend it, but because they refuse to accept it.
Gods ways are paradoxical not contradictory.
“There is a way that seems right to man, yet leadeth to death.”
