We are a UK-Japan research collaboration that will develop and pilot a method for the intercultural co-design of a human-centric framework for responsible AI.
My campaign for the position of Director-General of @UNESCO kicks off with great momentum 🚀 after my presentation to the @UNESCO Executive Board. In it, I presented my strategic vision for the future of #UNESCO based on the three "i"s of success: Inclusion, Innovation, and Impact.
🔹 Inclusion to ensure greater access and quality in education 📚, especially for children who are out of school, and increased investment in culture to promote development 🌍.
🔹 Innovation to invest more in science 🔬, ensuring that science influences decision-making and ethically regulating convergent technologies like artificial intelligence 🤖.
🔹 Impact to achieve greater influence in global forums such as the #G20, #G7, #G77 🌐, and to work on the national priorities of our countries.
We will strive for @UNESCO to be a reference organization for the world and thus improve the quality of life for everyone.

Honored to share a powerful moment in the journey for @UNESCO leadership.
Today, I presented my vision as Mexico’s candidate for Director-General of UNESCO before the Executive Board.
With over three decades of high-level experience in diplomacy, economic development, and multilateral cooperation—from leading during the global financial crisis to shaping the ethics of AI— I bring a track record of results and a bold, human-centered strategy to navigate these uncertain times.
My commitment? Build on the three « i’s » of success. Inclusion, innovation and impact, and liberating UNESCO’s full potential.
From empowering youth and women, to elevating culture as a force for peace and sustainability, to ensuring education for compassion and advancing science driven solutions in an age of misinformation— my call is clear: UNESCO must lead with courage, relevance, and unity.
A heartfelt thank you to the Executive Board for this important platform. The future of multilateralism will be fine when guided by vision, strength, and the power of “We”.
