I @bbogden001 have been dormant for some time; deflated by the tactics of community leaders toward #advocacy. BUT @DanLairdMD I could not let this momentous @SCJudgments decision re #pain & #Doctors pass w/o congratulating ALL involved; it gives me a glimmer of #hope. 🙏 THANK U
Probably the most tired arrow in anti-opioid crusader’s quiver is the straw man. Misrepresent the opponent’s position so it can be easily knocked over. #ChronicPain patients don’t demand/ expect complete relief. They demand access to multimodal pain treatment, including opioids.
CHRONIC PAIN ADVOCATES: THIS IS YOUR VICTORY!!! The Supreme Court doesn’t agree on much but they all agree on this! The government needs to stop bullying physicians who carefully and safely prescribe opioids to medically complex patients!
I am beyond dismayed that our March 2020 application for #COVID19 assistance has gone unanswered. I recognize it was not a priority initially, but how long do we expect these families to hang on without support? @EOHU_tweet

Indication the Can Govt taking a bigger interest in the plight of ppl living w/ #CPP - this Q was incl in surveys evaluating the recent fed election! Hmmmm I have mixed feelings about what it will lead to. Note: no question about other chronic health conditions #Election2021

@MelanieNoel & @SandraWoodsMtl are two of Canada’s chronic pain community leaders ☝️ w/ an interest in trauma informed care :) Having first hand exp w/ ind that are misdiagnosed & mistreated @PEOPLE_Centre is pleased to see this getting more attention. @GoHealio
“The pain and discomfort that women experience with recurrent UTIs are compounded by the frustration that they feel from their limited treatment options, according to a focus group study in The Journal of Urology….”https://t.co/bJmpoiNxnZ
Indigenous patients… are nearly 1/3 more likely to die after their procedures than other populations in Canada & face higher risks of complications, new research suggests as doctors warn these inequities could worsen with the COVID-19 crisis. https://t.co/tZkXETKvQT @CMA_Docs
In addition, there r no quality control qs in your study. Given that yesterday @CanGov announced a consultation on this topic, it would make sense to garner info on the type of injury, delays in care & other obstacles #covid has created to provide a more complete picture.
Methodological implications of circulating a survey to those who live w/ #workplace injury on the day @ONThealth#onhealth closed construction sites across the province. Regardless of your intentions, this is at best tone-deaf, but some might argue misguided. #livedexperience /1
The Canadian Injured Worker's Alliance is looking for Canadians who have sustained a workplace injury to take part in a survey to better understand the impacts of the #COVID19 pandemic on injured workers. The survey is available until May 7, 2021. https://t.co/bBEF59jCOq
I recognize there is an @IASPpain dialogue on #covid & pain coming up, but doing it in this fashion is not only NOT going to reach the #cpp#ipp it should, it sets up an unfortunately incomplete baseline for future ref. #research[email protected]@LynnCooperBES
