@rybar_en They need to keep these museum pieces in their shelters. Once US and Israeli forces find them they'll be reduced to scrapmetal. A Mig 29, an F4 and a training a/c in today's modern world just cries desperation
EDITORIAL: Augusta is silent — and Mainers are paying the price.
By Jon Fetherston
Gateway Community Services is now in front of a House investigation committee. Washington wants its money back for improper billing of autism services in Maine. Group home care has been found lacking, to say the very least. Yet from the top? Too often it’s shrug, deflect, and move on.
Fraud isn’t “complicated.” Fraud is theft…theft of your tax dollars and theft of your trust. And when leadership refuses to confront it publicly, it signals one thing: the system is protecting itself.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows wants to oversee an election while she’s on the ballot. Even if it’s technically allowed, it’s a terrible look, and it invites doubt at the exact moment Maine needs confidence in elections. Add in her posture toward law enforcement issues like license plates, and it too often feels like Trump Derangement Syndrome is driving decisions more than practical governance. The people caught in the middle aren’t politicians. They’re the officers who have to deal with the consequences on the street.
So where is the Governor? Where is Democrat leadership when it comes to cleaning up fraud, demanding accountability, and restoring public trust? Too busy with politics? Too careful to upset the activist class? Too invested in protecting the status quo?
And let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Maine has a Triad Weed problem. Illegal marijuana operations exploiting loopholes, undercutting legitimate businesses, and dragging organized crime into local communities. Everyone knows it’s happening. You hear it from residents, from workers, from people in law enforcement, but the public response from Augusta is timid. If this were treated with the urgency it deserves, the state would be coordinating regulators, State Police, and prosecutors to shut it down. Why isn’t that happening?
Now look around.
Drive down Preble Street in Portland. Drive down Bartlett Street in Lewiston. Encampments. Open-air drug use. Businesses trying to survive. Families avoiding certain blocks. Is this what “progress” looks like? Is this what we’re supposed to accept as normal?
And what about the schools? We hear endless noise about protests, inappropriate library books, and ideological fights, but where is the relentless focus on academic performance? Reading. Math. Graduation readiness. Classroom discipline. Teacher retention. Talk to teachers off the record and many will tell you they’re concerned about safety, results, and the kids, but they’re afraid to speak publicly because “leadership” will retaliate.
That’s the real story: not just one scandal, not just one agency, not just one politician. It’s the culture of silence. The refusal to confront obvious problems with obvious solutions. The tendency to protect institutions instead of people.
Maine doesn’t need more talking points. Maine needs leadership that treats fraud like theft, treats public safety like a priority, treats education like a mission, and treats the public’s trust like something worth earning, not something to be spent.
Because what’s scary isn’t only the controversies.
It’s the quiet.
@MassGovernor You don't have to like it. You can disagree with it but you have to learn except other people's opinions and point of view. You know like the majority of your states voters who want to see an audit.
@TamaraMac010@ScottJenningsKY Similar deal for me except original birth certificate was way to old and faded. I went to the town hall where the army base I was born at and got a nice new one for $30. In and out in 10 mins Not hard to do
@_annarogers22@WhiteBread8956@TamaraMac010@ScottJenningsKY You're not paying to vote. You're paying for documents that you should already have. Go buy a small fireproof safe put all you documents in it. I'm sure you keep track of your mortgage/deeds, rental agreements, vehicle titles etc. I'm sure you can do the same with identity docs
EXCLUSIVE: The REAL Alex Pretti Exposed – Not the Peaceful Nurse the Left Wants You to Believe!
Folks, hold onto your hats because the mainstream media and the radical Left are once again trying to paint a violent agitator as some innocent victim. But thanks to explosive new footage and a **bombshell report** straight from the BBC (yes, even they couldn't hide it), we now have the truth about Alex Pretti – the so-called "ICU nurse" gunned down by federal agents in Minneapolis.
The fake news crowd wants you to believe Pretti was just a caring healthcare hero minding his own business when "evil" Border Patrol agents took him out in cold blood. They trot out sob stories, vigils, and million-dollar GoFundMes while ignoring the facts. But patriots, the video doesn't lie.
On **January 13th** – just **11 days** before his fatal encounter – The News Movement (TNM) captured crystal-clear footage of a man who looks **exactly** like Alex Pretti going full thug mode against federal immigration officers. BBC Verify ran their fancy facial recognition tech on it and confirmed: **97% match**. That's not "maybe" – that's a slam dunk.
Watch this MUST-SEE clip:
- Pretti (or his spitting image) struts around with what sure looks like a **gun tucked in his waistband** – not a phone, not a wallet, a firearm.
- He's **spitting** on federal officers like some street punk.
- He **kicks** and **smashes** the tail light of their vehicle as they're trying to drive away.
- When agents step in to stop the chaos, he fights them, screams "Get off me!", and refuses to comply.
- Tear gas and pepper balls fly because the crowd – egged on by this guy – won't back down.
Agents shout, "Stay back! This is a federal operation!" But Pretti keeps escalating. He gets pinned, then released, and stands there defiant while the crowd chants "Hands off!"
This wasn't some peaceful protester helping direct traffic like the mainstream media fairy tale claims. This was a man with a history of confronting law enforcement, packing heat, and acting like he was above the law.
Fast-forward to **January 24th**: DHS says Pretti approached officers **armed with a handgun**. The Left screams "He was holding a phone!" and points to bystander videos. But let's be real – why would a guy who kicks cop cars and flashes a gun in his pants suddenly turn into Mr. Innocent Bystander?
The pattern is clear: Alex Pretti wasn't the victim here. He was a repeat offender who chose confrontation over cooperation. Federal agents – doing their jobs in a dangerous city under siege from open-border radicals – had to make split-second decisions.
And now? The same crowd that rioted for George Floyd is turning this into another anti-law-enforcement circus. Protests, Hollywood celebs, Democrat politicians crying foul – all while ignoring the footage that shows Pretti was **not peaceful**.
Important context the fake news won't tell you: Pretti **was not** a peaceful protester. He was an agitator who disrespected federal officers, damaged government property, and – by all appearances – carried a firearm during these encounters.
America First patriots know the score. Our brave Border Patrol and ICE agents are under attack from day one of this administration's crackdown on illegal immigration. They risk their lives to secure our borders, and when they defend themselves against violent resistance, the Left turns them into monsters.
BOMBSHELL report from the auditor just released, video up on YT.
Massachusetts State Auditor just exposed how 21 state agencies spent at least $6.8 million in taxpayer money on 263 secret settlement agreements with little to no oversight.
We're not saying that Blue Lives Matter was behind feeding false information to far-left, anti-ICE protestors.
We're not saying we had teams comprised of HUNDREDS of off-duty cops and veterans volunteer to run decoy operations so far-left activists THOUGHT they were conducting ICE raids.
We're not saying they were in fact they were just driving around in what appeared to be unmarked vehicles with tinted windows... drinking coffee and listening to Guns and Roses.... being chased down and surrounded by protestors.
What we ARE saying is that if it DID happen.... it sure worked remarkably well in NINE DIFFERENT STATES, allowing ACTUAL raids to successfully take place unimpeded, helping support the capture of HUNDREDS of criminals.
Combat veterans, off-duty officers and patriotic Americans have had enough of the radical left... and are being activated across the country to back our #lawenforcement. And they're smarter...more skilled... more driven... better trained than the left … and actually enjoy sitting in a deer stand for days on end just waiting.
@DHSgov@ICEgov we’ve got you.
Maine Citizens are allowing ICE to work.
Maine citizens jammed up the report ice lines with prank calls for two days straight sending protesters to remote areas.
