Fifth year of the Russian war in Ukraine. Civilian casualties are climbing higher and higher, Russia openly plans another winter of terror against civilians, and starves people in the occupied town of Oleshky.

​At the same time, the EU is lifting sanctions on Russian oligarchs, Putin is invited to the G20, and Ovechkin can openly support the invading regime without meaningful damage to his career.

Ten rok byl ve znamení mobilizací, ta zářijová československá mobilizace z roku 1938 dnes bohužel zůstavá ve stínu pro republiku tragických Mnichovských událostí.

1️⃣ Když Česko vstupovalo do Unie, byli jsme hluboko pod úrovní západní Evropy. Dnes jsme na 91% průměru sedmadvacítky. Polsko se posunulo z 2 000 na víc než 30 000 (!) dolarů na hlavu; a Bukurešť je bohatší než Lisabon (187% vs 129%). = Konvergence zafungovala fantasticky.
2️⃣ Nezbohatli jsme přitom z dotací. Zbohatli jsme z přístupu na trh 500 milionů lidí. Skoro 78% našeho vývozu míří do Unie. Ne do USA, ne do Číny, ne do Afriky. Do Unie. Tam jsou naše peníze.
3️⃣ Neznamená to Evropu obhajovat za každou cenu. Produktivita eurozóny od roku 2019 vzrostla sotva o procento, americká mnohonásobně víc. EU má spoustu problémů a kdo je zamlčuje, dělá z obhajoby náboženství.
4️⃣ Kdo chce ale Evropu opustit (případně jen skepticky nadávat), podřezává si větev, na které jsme vydělali nejvíc v dějinách.
5️⃣ Co tím chci říct? Že Evropu není třeba nekriticky milovat. Stejně jako už pojďme konečně opustit náš nekonečný euro-pláč. Evropu totiž stačí ji konzervativně hájit. A hájí se zevnitř.

❗️We caught propagandists from Russia's Rybar center in a trap in Prague - a center that spreads Putin's lies to 1.5 million subscribers, and for whose collaborators the US has put up a reward of up to $10 million for election interference.
❗️The unmasked individuals sent to Czechia could now face up to 8 years in prison for violating sanctions.
❗️These are Russian citizens who have long lived in the EU, where they pose as journalists.
❗️We also uncovered the name of their superior. Boris Dvorkin is linked to the director of Putin's foreign intelligence service, the SVR. In Moscow, however, he presents himself as a maker of historical documentaries.
❗️In Czechia, though, Dvorkin's people were gathering material for Putin's propaganda machine about the war.
❗️They came to conduct interviews, for example with SPD MEP Ivan David, or former diplomat Petr Drulák, who over the weekend held a conference in Prague with a sanctioned Putin ideologue. Both declined to comment on their contact with the sanctioned Rybar.
❗️The pair of propagandists were eventually detained by Czech police, who ordered them to leave Czechia. They then moved to Germany, where at least one of them has permanent residency - even though he works there for sanctioned Russian propaganda media, which experts say is likely illegal under EU law.
