Africa unite. No person can obstruct the total liberation of Africa. A united Africa is pivotal to the freedom of many oppressed and enslaved black people globally. Only those who truly understand the significance of 'independence' can create a better country for their people and future generations. We are not truly independent when foreign interests control our natural resources. Former colonizers have devised new methods to dupe us by controlling our resources. It's time to tell these neo-colonialists and imperialists to relinquish control. We have intelligent minds that can steer our country forward. We possess the rich natural resources, and these neo-colonialists and imperialists flourish due to our lack of knowledge and wisdom.
Intan Jaya, West Papua. 17th May, 2025.
Indonesian Military's Actions in Intan Jaya: A Deepening Crisis in West Papua.
On May 14, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in Intan Jaya Regency, where Indonesian military forces fatally shot six unarmed Papuan civilians. While the Indonesian government and community teams have successfully evacuated these victims, the search for other missing residents continues. This act constitutes a grave violation of human rights, for which Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto must be held accountable. The Indonesian military's claim that the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) used civilians as shields is unsubstantiated and legally indefensible before an international court.
The Papuan struggle for self-determination is a multifaceted movement encompassing military (TPNPB), political, civil, and diplomatic wings, representing the collective will of the Papuan people. This indigenous resistance is not merely a military conflict; it is a deeply rooted ideological fight for independence, a sentiment that will endure for generations. Indonesia's attempts to suppress this ideology are futile; the desire for Papuan independence remains firmly entrenched in the hearts of the Papuan people. This indigenous resistance is a direct response to the perceived illegal occupation of Papuan land by the Indonesian military.
Current Situation Report (May 17, 2025):
Intan Jaya Regency officials and civilians are currently undertaking the difficult task of evacuating victims from seven churches (congregations), navigating the challenging terrain separating these locations. The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) maintain a presence around these seven church buildings, while the local government focuses on evacuating the injured and deceased. A comprehensive report will be released in due course.
This report, issued by Sebby Sambom, WPNLA Spokesperson, directly from Intan Jaya, Papua, highlights the urgency and gravity of the situation.
We urge the international community to take note and demand accountability for this egregious human rights violation.

West Papua has a legal right to independence based on UNITED NATIONS RESOLUTION 1514 - THE GRANTING OF INDEPENDENCE TO ALL COLONIAL COUNTRIES AND PEOPLES.
Resolution adopted by the General Assembly
1514 (XV). Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples
The General Assembly,
Mindful of the determination proclaimed by the peoples of the world in the Charter of the United Nations to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small and to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,
Conscious of the need for the creation of conditions of stability and well-being and peaceful and friendly relations based on respect for the principles of equal rights and self-determination of all peoples, and of universal respect for, and observance of, human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion,
Recognizing the passionate yearning for freedom in all dependent peoples and the decisive role of such peoples in the attainment of their independence,
Aware of the increasing conflicts resulting from the denial of or impediments in the way of the freedom of such peoples, which constitute a serious threat to world peace,
Considering the important role of the United Nations in assisting the movement for independence in Trust and Non-Self-Governing Territories,
Recognizing that the peoples of the world ardently desire the end of colonialism in all its manifestations,
Convinced that the continued existence of colonialism prevents the development of international economic co-operation, impedes the social, cultural and economic development of dependent peoples and militates against the United Nations ideal of universal peace,
Affirming that peoples may, for their own ends, freely dispose of their natural wealth and resources without prejudice to any obligations arising out of international economic co-operation, based upon the principle of mutual benefit, and international law,
Believing that the process of liberation is irresistible and irreversible and that, in order to avoid serious crises, an end must be put to colonialism and all practices of segregation and discrimination associated therewith,
Welcoming the emergence in recent years of a large number of dependent territories into freedom and independence, and recognizing the increasingly powerful trends towards freedom in such territories which have not yet attained independence,
Convinced that all peoples have an inalienable right to complete freedom, the exercise of their sovereignty and the integrity of their national territory,
Solemnly proclaims the necessity of bringing to a speedy and unconditional end colonialism in all its forms and manifestations;
And to this end Declares that:
1.The subjection of peoples to alien subjugation, domination and exploitation constitutes a denial of fundamental human rights, is contrary to the Charter of the United Nations and is an impediment to the promotion of world peace and co-operation.
2.All peoples have the right to self-determination; by virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.
3.Inadequacy of political, economic, social or educational preparedness should never serve as a pretext for delaying independence.
4.All armed action or repressive measures of all kinds directed against dependent peoples shall cease in order to enable them to exercise peacefully and freely their right to complete independence, and the integrity of their national territory shall be respected.
5.Immediate steps shall be taken, in Trust and Non-Self-Governing Territories or all other territories which have not yet attained independence, to transfer all powers to the peoples of those territories, without any conditions or reservations, in accordance with their freely expressed will and desire, without any distinction as to race, creed or colour, in order to enable them to enjoy complete independence and freedom.
6.Any attempt aimed at the partial or total disruption of the national unity and the territorial integrity of a country is incompatible with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
7.All States shall observe faithfully and strictly the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the present Declaration on the basis of equality, non-interference in the internal affairs of all States, and respect for the sovereign rights of all peoples and their territorial integrity.

TPNPB Press Release: Condemnation of Indonesian Military Tactics in West Papua.
May 16, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Issued by: Jubir Komnas TPNPB Sebby Sambom
The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) vehemently condemns the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) for their cowardly and indiscriminate use of homemade bombs against TPNPB fighters and civilians in Intan Jaya. These tactics, which bear a striking resemblance to those employed by ISIS terrorists, represent a grave violation of International Humanitarian Law. The TNI's actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for human life and constitute war crimes.
The TNI's claim that the TPNPB uses human shields is a baseless fabrication, mirroring Israel's accusations against Hamas. This is a transparent attempt to deflect responsibility for their own brutal actions. While five TPNPB members were injured in a bomb explosion on May 14, 2025, only three perished as a direct result of the blast. The remaining two, along with numerous Papuan civilians, were subsequently executed by TNI forces. A full investigation will be conducted, and evidence is presented to the international community, including the UN.
Further evidence of the TNI's barbaric tactics includes an incident in Gome District, Puncak Papua Regency, Ilaga on May 6, 2025, where a civilian was killed by a TNI-deployed homemade bomb. This evidence, obtained from an interview with Numbuk Telenggen by Australian journalist Kristo Lengka on May 10, 2025, will be released shortly. The interview details the TNI's use of deceptive tactics, including concealing bombs within noodle cartons and biscuit cans.
The TNI's refusal to engage in direct combat with the TPNPB, opting instead for these cowardly and indiscriminate attacks, underscores their fear and desperation. Their actions are a clear indication of their inability to defeat the TPNPB through legitimate military means.
The TPNPB calls upon the international community, particularly the United Nations, to launch an independent investigation into these atrocities and hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes against humanity. We will continue to fight for the self-determination of the West Papuan people and will not be deterred by the TNI's barbaric tactics.

TPNPB Claims Responsibility for Killing Indonesian Military Personnel in Puncak Jaya and Yahukimo
May 16, 2025 โ The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) has claimed responsibility for the deaths of Indonesian military personnel in Puncak Jaya and Yahukimo regencies of Papua province. Sebby Sambom, spokesperson for the TPNPB-OPM, released a statement on behalf of the KOMNAS TPNPB Headquarters Management detailing two separate incidents.
In Puncak Jaya, TPNPB Region Yambi forces, led by Tenggemati Telenggen, reported killing two Indonesian military members in Usir Village, Mulia District on May 15, 2025. This action, the statement claims, was in retaliation for the death of Bumiwalo Enumbi, a TPNPB fighter killed by Indonesian military officers on May 10, 2025, in Puncak Jaya. The TPNPB alleges Enumbi was targeted by Indonesian military intelligence operating in the Illamburawi District.
Separately, the TPNPBโs Korowai Battalion, under Commander Major Semut Bocor Sobolim, admitted to killing an Indonesian military intelligence officer in Yahukimo on May 2, 2025. The officer, reportedly disguised as a water delivery person, was killed by Buplin Kobak, Busuale Suhuniap, Bintang Pahabol, and Beranakan Kobak, acting on Major Sobolimโs orders.
The TPNPB statement warns that any civilians working as Indonesian military intelligence agents should immediately leave conflict zones. Furthermore, the TPNPB threatens to target Indonesian civilians working as motorcycle taxi drivers, builders, street vendors, and other occupations within TPNPB operational areas.
The statement concludes with an appeal to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the TNI Commander, asserting that the TPNPB will continue its armed struggle across Papuaโs 36 regional defense commands. It also calls on Papuans serving in the Indonesian military to remember their nation's history and fight for independence.
