In 2023 (yes, you read that correctly), @NYTransitMuseum is subjecting autistic children on the spectrum to mandated masking during their 10 wk after school program for the mere cost of $350. Just plain inhumane.
President Biden just declared the COVID-19 pandemic "over" on 60 Minutes.
In NYC, unvaccinated parents cannot enter their children's school and unvaccinated high schoolers cannot join the basketball team.
Why is the pandemic "over" everywhere but schools?
@necs@CDCgov@NYCSchools “Vaccinations is still required to participate in high-risk extracurricular activities including high-risk PSAL sports”
Why deny a child who’s already been infected the opportunity to play a sport, meet new friends, improve their health, and thrive?
No more barring parents from entering school buildings, making kids have “no talking” lunches or eating lunch in the classroom instead of the cafeteria, limiting extracurricular activities or canceling field trips.

Hi @GovKathyHochul,
My daughter went to this school from 2020-2022.
I was never once allowed in the classroom.
Up until the last week of school, she & her teachers had mask.
Her classroom closed for 5-10 days for every + covid test.
But I'm glad you got your photo op.
It’s a hot day in New York and will be over 80 degrees later. I want to take this opportunity, along with @NYCMayor, to thank all the toddlers who will be forced to wear masks all day in the heat. They are keeping us safe from the coronavirus.
Concerned parents reached out to request a meeting with @NYCMayor, @NYCHealthCommr & @nycHealthy to discuss the indefinite masking of toddlers and only toddlers in NYC. NYC has not provided any data to justify this measure.
Yesterday we got this response from @MirandaHalle120.
Hi hello so sorry to just barge in here with a correction again I do apologize but I really must point out that TODDLERS HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO A MASK MANDATE THIS ENTIRE TIME
Friend tried to call 212-COVID19 (NYC's covid assistance line) to try to get Paxlovid for her father.
No one is there on Sundays.
We're in such a dire emergency that speech delayed toddlers need to wear masks, but no one needs to answer the covid hotline on the weekend.
@NYCMayor@NYCSchools@DOEChancellor You know who else's dyslexia wont be identified early? MASKED TODDLERS! You talk the talk but don't walk the walk. You can help kids with learning disabilities today by unmasking toddlers.
A concerned parent of a toddler called @ShahanaFromBK's office this morning to talk about the toddler mask mandate. The parent was told that CM Hanif supports indoor masking indefinitely.
At the same time, she attends maskless large events and posts about it on social media.
This #MothersDay, I’m thinking of how much better the last 2 years would have been for America’s mothers if our supposedly-progressive leaders had worked to keep our schools open, as they did across Europe.
I’m thinking of all the mamas who fought for kids when Warren did not.
Colombia's Secretary of Health announces that children will be allowed to unmask on May 15 because of the developmental harms of masks.
Meanwhile, in NYC, @NYCHealthCommr refuses to acknowledge that masking little kids causes any harm.

It has been 8 weeks of @NYCHealthCommr masking toddlers and only toddlers at their daycares and preschools. The policy is cruel, inequitable, harmful, & anti-science. @NYCMayor, we're still here. We haven't forgotten. See you on Friday.
NYC, Friday morning rally at Gracie Mansion! How astounding is that toddlers are STILL masking in NYC? What in the world is the Mayor thinking? #getstuffdone#100DaysGSD
