Sadly, I don't this is the case with with these narratives in SA. Ignorance requires education and patience- I know its running thin though.

@GamingGrifter Eventually someone brave has to stand up to the bully on the playground and others will follow suit. I'm proud of South Africa and I think geopolitically this could be a great turning point- but even if not, at least we didn't just lay down and take their shit.

It's for valid visa holders already- the kind you speak of are illegal or the department has failed their job with bad vetting. Why punish those who abide by the law- improve the process!

The disclaimer is there because of the sad state of our country- but it doesn't mean that we should accept that as the norm. Its a disclaimer made with a side of disgust.

Mama Joy might be a casualty of it, but not the target. She may have sparked some debate- but the choice is about a lot more than her.

Banning people with legitimate visas because of DHA incompetence is not the answer- that's playing with people's lives for no fault of their own.

To respond to your recent points, the fact of the matter is that people are in limbo waiting for a response from DHA. This is standard procedure and there's a reason they're here (critical skills, spouse etc.). It's not their fault
