ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಪಾದಚಾರಿಯ ಬದುಕನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ.

ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದವರೆಗೆ ಸ್ಕೈವಾಕ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಳೆದ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ನೀವೇ ಬಂದು ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಗೊತ್ತೇ?

ಸ್ಕೈವಾಕ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನೇ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾರೋ ಕಂಟ್ರಾಕ್ಟರ್ ಫ್ಲೈಓವರ್ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂತೆ.

ಇಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಪಾದಚಾರಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ, ಕೆಲವೇ ವಾರಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ದಾಟುವಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ವೃದ್ಧೆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ ವಿಡಿಯೋವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.

ಆ ಸಾವು ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆ ಜೀವದ ಬೆಲೆ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಈ ನಗರದ ಪಾದಚಾರಿಗಳು, ಬಿಎಂಟಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು, ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲ.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಸುರಂಗ ಮಾರ್ಗ.

ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಪಾದಚಾರಿಯ ಜೀವಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸುರಂಗ ಮಾರ್ಗವೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವೇ?

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾದರೂ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಜೀವ ಬಲಿಯಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ಬನಶಂಕರಿ ಸ್ಕೈವಾಕ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ.

They must clearly explain the CCD failure on a train they are stating as the reason the ongoing disruption.

There is redundancy in a 6-car train with multiple CCDs. 1 CCD failure mustn't disrupt the train.

One of the main advantages of the #NammaMetro Green Line when it opened was how seamlessly we could travel to Jayanagar, KR Market, and National College from Peenya. Traveling by bus or car took a lot of time back then, and it still does today. I used to miss many cultural events in Jayanagar just because it was too far and inconvenient. With the Metro connecting everything seamlessly, it's such a peaceful experience and a massive time-saver!

However, I strongly oppose the metro fares. They are unaffordable, and we have to shell out a big amount. We have been requesting the concerned authorities to reduce the fares by at least 50%, but they aren't doing it. When the government can fund different 'Bhagyas', why can't they help this segment? I am not asking for free travel, but they should subsidize it and find a way to offset the costs and resources rather than raising the fares.
