Govt forced Bankers to open on Sunday for customer convenience before Bank Strike, but stopped Trains & Metros before CJP protest.
Convenience... Suddenly irrelevant!
@kritikatwtss Would you rather have a bank that hands out your account details to anyone who walks in without verifying their ID? It's standard security procedure.
YOU STUPID LITTLE CLOWN.
@anujprajapati11 Private sector: 'Your salary depends on how much of your soul you're willing to give us for free this month.'" 🙃💀
Idk why pvt sector employees flex their toxic culture and gadhamazdoori(most offices).
I think y'all are just jealous and were lazy during your study phase.
Over the last two days, I wrote a couple of tweets supporting the five-day work week, which is currently a demand being raised by bankers. Some people assumed I was a banker and tried to push back by turning it into an IT-sector argument.
I’ve been working in IT for almost two decades. Most of my career has been on the client side, but I’ve also worked for service providers. So I understand both sides quite well.
And one thing I can tell you from experience: clients generally don’t give you a deadline saying, “Do it over the weekend” or “Do it urgently.”
Most work is planned weeks, months, or even years in advance.
Yes, there are genuine emergencies. Some incidents or small checks may need immediate attention. But those are exceptions, not the normal way of working.
Most people need the full two days of the weekend to rest, recharge and spend time with their families. That helps them come back on Monday and work better.
In India, we still have a mindset that sitting at a desk for more hours automatically means more work.
It doesn’t.
Hours spent sitting at a desk are not the same as productivity.
A five-day work week would improve the quality of life for millions of people and families. It gives you two days to spend with your kids, your family and friends, take care of personal things, or simply have some time for yourself.
Not every personal task needs to be pushed into the weekend. Plan better. Use weekdays when possible. Use technology. Find different ways to manage small tasks.
The world is moving in this direction for a reason.
India should learn from it.
A five-day work week should not be seen as a special benefit for a few sectors. It should become the normal working pattern across industries.
Work better. Rest properly. Spend time with your family. And have a life outside work.
