What an incredible five-year journey.
My deepest gratitude to Xu Zhou,@XuZhouLab whose mentorship has profoundly shaped the way I think about science. Thank you to my lab members, collaborators, and friends for making Boston feel like home.Excited for the next adventure at USTC.
Excited to share our preprint! We delve into the ways that a mouse embryo breaks symmetry and specifies cell fates for the first time. It turns out that cells polarize asynchronously at the 8-cell stage, and this has implications for lineage allocation:

@zhumeng123@MZG_Lab Thank you Meng! This work requires tenacity and courage. I’ve been immensely impressed by Meng’s consistency. We started it in 2018 and finally make it now! I’m glad to collaborate with @zhumeng123 who is a meticulous, creative scientist.
Excited to share our new work!!🥳How do cells lose totipotency to fate segregation? w @MZG_Lab we found that early blastomeres experience a "Composite State" by displaying dual-lineages signatures! Link for full text👉: https://t.co/n10KchKhda
What is the origin of our body? Our paper @CellCellPress shows that when a human embryo is one day old and comprises just two cells, only one cell will create most of the fetus in addition to placenta, while the other cell will create placenta.

I’m happy to be awarded the AHA Postdoctoral Fellowship. Thanks the support from @American_Heart! Thanks my PI @GuonHuang for mentoring, and all my lab friends! I enjoy the science and research in Huang lab. Hope to make contributions to the therapy of heart disease!
Our study on DNA methylome inheritance and enhancer dememorization in early zebrafish embryos is now out in Science Advances. A perfect holiday gift to the hard-working team Xiaotong Wu, Hongmei Zhang and Bingjie Zhang👏👏
