@LPDonovan@CookOut They're all good. But as a peanut butter fan, I have particular fondness for Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Fudge. The Peach Cobbler is good, too, with a nice balance of cobbler dough and peachiness.
@MuseZack In the 1958 noir, The Lineup (worth watching, great SF locations) the final shoot-out is on the yet-to-be completed Embarcadero Freeway. Good use of the ugly thing.
Andrew Schulz: “I didn’t know that this was possible to happen in the United States of America. What we’ve seen ICE doing entering homes without warrants, it’s unconstitutional. When you’re willing to shred the Constitution to preserve your ideas of what should happen, it is incredibly un-American. I just think it’s an important thing to speak out against, I think it’s horrific”
This is a great book and, mostly for the better, barely about Caesar. It’s about early egalitarian movements and how Roman elites violently blocked redistribution, justifying it as a defense of republican order. Elites haven’t changed much. RIP Michael Parenti.
SF's cantankerous queen of used Le Creusets has been threatening to quit Cookin’ for years. But this time — on New Year’s Day — she is closing for real.
