I don’t even own a car, but two months without a functioning garage door, with another 6–8 weeks until repairs, is absurd. What exactly are residents paying these outrageous “luxury” fees for? A refund should be the bare minimum. Embarrassing incompetence.

I’m tired of people using “centrist Twitter” as an insult, especially in DC, where so many Washingtonians just want a city that works. Some of us are newer to local politics. We never claimed to have uncovered its corruption first, but we’re helping draw attention to what too many people have come to accept. Harry Thomas Jr. returned to party leadership after stealing money intended for youth programs. Jack Evans still gets invited to weigh in on DC’s future after paying ethics fines. I’ve gotten passionate about Dean Hunter in this thread because people keep pointing to his prominence as a landlord spokesman as though that answers questions about his credibility. That influence makes scrutiny more necessary. We should welcome more people asking questions, pushing back and encouraging investigative reporting that holds powerful people accountable. You don’t have to have followed DC politics for decades to want better for this city.
“Utility Pole Fire… Neighbors have been complaining for years to Pepco about this, and Pepco did nothing.” - Well this is nuts: https://t.co/6dGVamFqRb
@crum_madison_@DDOTDC@311DCgov I have a sidewalk repair request from June that was marked complete but no work has been done. Emails have been ignored. They ignore most residents. @ddot@DDOTDCDirector
Hey @CMWendellFelder and @charlesallen I appreciate the time you took to walk with us in ANC 6A06 last week. CM Felder: while I understand your concerns about inequitable placement of cameras, can we agree a much more important priority is removing these dangerous drivers from our streets?
