Will Jewish communities be asked to condemn these extreme statements from the Chief Rabbi of the self-proclaimed Jewish state, in the same way that Muslim communities for 25 years have been asked to condemn extreme statements from every random imam anywhere in the world?
"Australia’s medical cannabis industry imported a record amount of products in 2025"
"...reaching a total of over 81 tonnes"
"In addition to the imported medical cannabis, over 55 tonnes of medical cannabis was produced domestically in Australia."
But according to cannabis prohibitionists, cannabis has no medical value. 😎

I wanted to use Trump's threat to levy 50% tariffs on Canada and Canada's in-his-face response to discuss the underlying behavioral reasons for Trump being so fixated on tariffs.
Trump has no strategy or depth. He has cravings. And two of the cornerstone cravings for Trump, especially now that he's playing out his final chapter on Earth, are greed and grandiosity. These two things, which interrelate, underly almost everything - he is a giant id.
He wants awards, he wants things named after him, he wants oil from this country and a piece of this company and $10B here and billions more there, and all of that is but a subset of what he really wants, which is the knowledge, belief, and portrayal that he can do whatever the f*ck he wants - the ultimate grandiosity.
The legacy media always tries to understand Trump's stubborn fixations by normalizing him and asking: "What's he thinking?" Allow me AGAIN: Trump doesn't think; HE FEELS. He lusts. He craves.
And he likes how tariffs make him feel, because he can be a bully, impose his will, make and remove threats, and cause countries to do his bidding and pay him tribute arbitrarily. THEY FUEL HIS GRANDIOSITY.
How much more American consumers, businesses, and importers pay, is immaterial. None of that matters to Trump. Prices don't matter. Inflation doesn't matter. People don't matter. America doesn't matter.
Bullying, imposing his will, being the center of attention, and threatening others, is the essence of what a malignant narcissist does. Carney knows that and realizes that this is where America is at present.
It's like America didn't even elect a person. It elected a thing, a parasite, a pathology.
🚨 Ten years after Brexit referendum, the House of Commons Library has assessed the evidence in advance of a Westminster Hall debate on Wednesday 2 September led by @PeteWishart
Its conclusion?
There is a broad consensus among economists that Brexit has made the UK economy smaller than it otherwise would have been.
Estimates of the GDP loss: 2–8%.
OBR long-term assumption: 4%.
Expected hit to UK trade: 15%.
Meanwhile EU net migration fell below zero but non-EU migration surged, peaking above 1 million.
We sacrificed freedom of movement, erected barriers with our largest market and made ourselves poorer.
And overall migration went UP.
Ten years of evidence.
How much more evidence do we need before Britain changes course?
A Michigan Catholic deacon stands up for Muslims in Dearborn after a Christian nationalist rally called for their removal from the country:
“To the men and women protesting in the name of Jesus, hurling hate at our Muslim brothers and sisters — not in his name, and certainly not on my watch.
“I count many Muslims as my friends, my neighbors, my associates, and yes, my barber. Men and women of integrity, of family, and of faith. We may not be brothers in faith, but we are certainly and absolutely brothers and sisters in humanity.
“And freedom of religion is not a footnote to being an American. It is a cornerstone. The same First Amendment that protects my right to go to Mass protects your right to the mosque.
“It grieves me that in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace is being used as a weapon to spread fear, intolerance, and hate. That is not the gospel. That is not the cross. And that certainly is not of Christ.
“So let me be clear. In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke this spirit of hatred and division. Scripture does not leave us confused about this. We are called to rebuke evil, and tonight, this is evil — using the name of the Savior who dined with outcasts to cast out our neighbors, good people.*
“John tells us exactly how Christians should be known: by this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another — and your neighbor.
“He makes it even plainer: if anyone says “I love God” and hates his brother, he is a liar.
“So no. You do not speak for me. You do not speak for my church. And you do not speak for Christ when you chant hate at people of God, no matter the faith.
“To my Muslim friends in this room and in this city: you are welcome here. You belong here. Your freedom to worship is my freedom to worship, and I will stand for it because my faith demands it.
“We can disagree — and we probably will — on theology, and still defend each other’s dignity. That’s not weakness. That’s Christianity. That is American.”

There is something deeply funny about billionaires convincing a man making $52,000 a year that the greatest threat to his freedom is another worker making $14 an hour who speaks Spanish.
Brother.
The immigrant didn't outsource your job.
The immigrant didn't buy your hospital.
The immigrant didn't raise your rent.
The immigrant didn't eliminate your pension.
You are being pickpocketed while somebody points dramatically at the guy standing next to you.
This pic is UNREAL... except it's absolutely real.

⭕️ ANALYSIS | Israel Returns to Mass Killings in Gaza After Ben-Gvir Demands 30 to 40 Palestinian Deaths a Night
Immediately after Jared Kushner met Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel, and according to multiple leading Israeli outlets gave the ICC-wanted war crimes fugitive a green light to continue attacks on Gaza, Israeli strikes have killed at least 17 Palestinians across Tuesday evening and Wednesday, including eight police officers and two children.
A few days earlier, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir openly demanded Israel carry out nightly killings of Palestinians, “30 to 40 every night,” explicitly stating that targets should include those who pose no threat to Israel.
“There are people there who are not worthy of life,” Ben-Gvir said. “They’re not even people.”
Some western leaders and governments condemned his remarks; France called them “unacceptable and inhuman.” But ahead of national elections on October 27, with Israeli PM Netanyahu seeking to appeal to an increasingly far-right and openly genocidal populace, Israel is ratcheting up the cruelty and mass death in Gaza — with the blessing of President Trump and his son-in-law and top Middle East advisor Jared Kushner.
(Note: Ben-Gvir’s proposed nightly killing quota is below what Israel already achieved during the first two years of its assault: more than 72,000 Palestinians killed, an average of roughly 99 every day, overwhelming majority of them civilians. Israel never articulated a military rationale for its revenge-driven genocidal assault that killed Palestinians at that scale day after day.)
You said preventing Iran from having nuclear weapons is in your best interest as an American.
Make the argument.
Not the assertion. The argument.
Because the countries that have nuclear weapons and are adversarial to the United States, Russia, China, North Korea, have not used them.
Because the logic of nuclear deterrence, which the United States invented and which is the foundation of its own strategic doctrine, holds that nuclear weapons prevent wars between nuclear states precisely because both sides understand the consequences of use.
Because the alternative to a nuclear-armed Iran that is deterred from existential action is a non-nuclear Iran that is permanently vulnerable to the kind of regime change and military destruction that American policy has repeatedly applied to non-nuclear states, which produces the conditions for exactly the kind of regional instability and proxy warfare that you are citing as evidence of Iranian radicalism.
The argument that a nuclear Iran is uniquely dangerous requires you to explain why nuclear deterrence works for every other nuclear state but would fail specifically for Iran.
Not because Iran is Muslim. Not because its government says things you find alarming. But a specific, logical, evidence-based argument for why the deterrence logic that has held for eighty years across ideologically diverse nuclear states would uniquely break down in this case.
That argument has never been made coherently.
Because it doesn't exist.
What exists is the feeling that Iran shouldn't have them.
And feelings are not strategy.
Over 50% of adults using cannabis for pain cut back on opioids!
Over half of those using cannabis said it helped them use less of:
Prescription opioid painkillers. Prescription non-opioid painkillers.
Over-the-counter pain medications. Less than 1% said cannabis led to more use of these medications.
38.7% said cannabis led to less use of physical therapy. 19.1% said cannabis led to less use of meditation. 26% said cannabis led to less use of cognitive behavioral therapy.

Surreal interview on BBC Newsnight where presumably the producer thought that Dale Vince would be anti North Sea oil and gas.
But instead of pushing that line @DaleVince explained how, despite it not being ideal, North Sea oil and gas could bring down UK bills if pricing was disconnected from the international markets.
Faisal Islam was in shock at hearing the above, expecting instead outright criticism of continued drilling in the North Sea.
Similar, if renewables were priced separately to oil and gas prices, energy bills would come down significantly. And this is DV's underlying point, that it's the way energy is priced that is keeping energy prices higher than they could otherwise be.
🧵With Part IV finally released, we are again proud to share our documentary, "Genocide in Gaza", now available to watch online in this platform.
This project has been a painful labor of love and dedication, aimed at honoring the memories of those murdered and ensuring their stories are not forgotten.
In times when denying the existence of a people and then directly exterminating them is not enough, the very perpetrators have launched a multi-million-dollar online campaign - featuring bots, trolls and paid influencers - that also aims to deny the atrocities committed by Israel against the civilian population of Gaza (as if we were not facing the most documented genocide in history) by seeking to promote a post-truth in which a productive/artistic capacity and resources would supposedly operate in Palestine that would in fact be superior to that of Hollywood itself, by producing so many hours of apocalyptically hyperrealistic video per day.
Please, feel free to repost, quote or comment on our videos in cases where you come across some of the negationist accounts. And, of course, to make visible the painful drama of the people of Gaza, who have been massacred for almost ten months without their suffering being shown by the mass media.
🚨 Content Warning: This documentary contains graphic scenes and sensitive content related to violence, loss]. Viewer discretion is advised.
🇵🇸 All credit for the images to the brave journalists, photographers, YouTubers and Civil Defense crew from Gaza.

No, there is currently not a single American citizen under indictment, investigation, or facing an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC). There is no active legal proceeding or pending case against any U.S. citizen at the court. President Trump on July 31 said Secretary Rubio was seeking to destroy the ICC to protect Israeli PM Netanyahu.
If you ask pro-capitalist people why a job like, say, sanitation work has such an abysmal wage even though the job is necessary, they’ll tell you that it is an unskilled occupation. We could contest that, but for the sake of argument, let’s concede. By this logic, value is derived from how much labor is required to accomplish something—in this case, the labor of learning the skill in addition to the labor of completing the task at hand. A doctor, then, would earn a much higher wage because of the labor required to obtain the necessary degrees to practice. Okay. But then, if you ask a pro-capitalist people again why the price of a pair of glasses, a mattress, or even a bottle of water is so expensive, despite these things being cheap and easy to make, they’ll tell you that value is not determined by the labor that goes into producing something, but by need and demand. This inconsistency reveals how neoliberal economics functions: the value of something means whatever is most convenient for the ruling class.
