Together with our Joint Venture Partners @UNOC_UG, #CNOOCUganda and @PAU_Uganda, and in collaboration with @EACOP_, we hosted CSOs on joint site visits across various project sites in Tilenga, Kingfisher and EACOP.

On the #TilengaProject sites, delegates toured the CPF, the Jobi-Rii 08 wellpad, and restored sites such as Jobi East 02 and Right of Way (RoW) areas, as well as the Avogera Primary Demo Garden under the project's Community Agriculture Initiatives (CAI).

These site visits follow our recent 'Let's Talk' engagement on national content and reinforce our commitment to transparency and accountability between energy sector players and CSOs.

At #TotalEnergiesEPUganda, our National Content strategy is designed to maximize Ugandan participation in the oil and gas sector, generate shared value within the country, and ensure a net positive impact from project development.

The strategy is anchored on three pillars, employing and training Ugandans, utilizing local goods and services, and enhancing capabilities through knowledge and technology transfer.

Today, at HB Safaris Buliisa, together with @PAU_Uganda, @UNOC_UG, #CNOOCUganda, and local leaders, we joined NGOs & CSOs from the Albertine Region for the latest edition of #TotalEnergiesEPUganda's "Let's Talk!" engagement to discuss the progress, achievements and opportunities being delivered through the #TilengaProject.

Better communities are built through steady changes that make everyday life brighter. #TilengaProject areas across Buliisa and Nwoya are experiencing these changes where they matter most.

Outpatient care is stronger at Avogera Health Centre III, staff at Anaka General Hospital have upgraded housing, and learners in Kirama and Kisomere study in expanded classrooms with improved sanitation facilities. Reliable piped water systems and clean solar lighting are enabling thousands of households to live safer, healthier lives. New resettlement homes are providing stability and dignity for families.

Together, these improvements are strengthening vital services and supporting communities to build a more secure, hopeful future.

Over the years, 15 engagements have been held to promote transparency, dialogue and collaboration between energy sector players and CSOs.

GRA took part in a “Let’s Talk” round table engagement with international oil companies @TotalEnergiesUG, @CNOOCUgandaLtd, @EACOP_ alongside government agencies including @UNOC_UG and @nemaug. The discussion focused on the environmental aspects associated with the ongoing oil projects.

In this session, we presented key community-based environmental concerns and highlighted issues affecting host communities. These engagements help advance collaboration, strengthen grievance handling processes, and improve development outcomes in Uganda’s extractives sector.
