We are making changes to improve our models!
With the newest release, a new AI model will be used to classify life cycle! The model was trained on protein sequences which allowed us to increase the confidence of predictions for the life cycle (figure below). 1/3

Additionally, we have introduced a new taxonomy prediction model based on the official taxonomic divisions from the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV)! It reduces previous problems with classification inconsistencies between taxa! 2/3
