@DiMartinoBooth@HolyGrailEcon A big ugly benchmark indeed, but I suggest we all look at relative percentages. 2025's -0.6% is smaller only than two -0.7 benchmarks over the last 32 years, and ties with one.
@DiMartinoBooth@BLS_gov That is not so unusual when big reports come out, another reason to get them funding to upgrade their systems. Happy weekend to you!
@SirRX_0@BeachWW453@Econ_Parker Just to mention, CPS produces the household survey, which is not heavily revised. It's the establishment survey, produced by CES, that's causing all the monthly ruckus. But if you really want to see some revisions, check retail sales!
@BeachWW453 Thanks for taking the time to post this. My business partner and I have been making this argument for years, and I will circulate your comment. Thanks again, Philippa
@JYSexton Hey Jared, I just read your emailed note. I am guessing you are aware of Tyler Childers's Long Violent History, but I want to make sure I am correct on that. Thanks for all you do, Philippa
