@dsilver88 He had 51 in a third line role with the worst PP in the league. He needs to get faster/stronger. But flyers have turned worse skaters (Brink/Tyfo) into not elite but at least into average or in brinks case above average skaters. No doubt a couple good summers will do wonders.

I think the Flyers, while they probably like Hagens, wouldn’t be concerned and stand pat and take Desnoyer, Martone or O’Brien. That said Hagens is my preference, but I’d take any of those four.

@avappleyard I can’t see the Flyers picking Eklund, though I like him. I really think Briere should be looking to move up and be willing to slightly overpay if they think someone is elite. I’m hoping the non-centralized draft leads to more draft day trades though it probably won’t.

Vegas fine, but they were also gifted extremely favorable expansion draft terms too build an insane amount of depth that they then added to

@BeeTEE15 I’m not anti cap, but my biggest issues have been stagnant cap and even more so the guaranteed contracts. Like if a guy isn’t worth his contract the team should not be hurt for the entire duration of a contract or double if buy them out.

@charlieo_conn Harley and Roberton offer sheet candidates next year??? They already have Hintz, Johnston, Rantanen, Heiskanen, and Oettinger at decent cap hits on long term deals. I know the cap is going up but seems like a lot of money.

But if the flyers draft anywhere after 6 and they don’t trade up (which we all know in the nhl doesn’t happen inside the top 10) or someone doesn’t reach for McQueen or a defensemen then they are not getting a greatcenter
