@tired_sun_aeiou @BCinChicago @kareem_carr I beg to differ! The knitting and crocheting corners of the internet are INCREDIBLY welcoming and supportive of newbies and their first creations.
@YouTooBio I'd be really interested in seeing your figure gallery! I'd love to be able to incorporate something like this into General or Organic Chemistry courses.
@pilotchicksrule @jtrebach Okay, now I'm starting to worry... Can I get a more detailed cautionary tale to tell my students so they NEVER make me responsible for something like this?
So...Jury duty selection last week:
- Judge: "What do you do?"
- Me: "Science."
- J: "What kind of Science?"
- Me: "Why thanks for asking...let's start with slow axonal transport, a mysterious way soluble proteins are conveyed down the axon...."
- Judge: "Thank you you can go."

@MorrisMichaelB@lkart1@DrJenGunter And even then, check that you're working with a Registered Dietitian! There are legal requirements to call yourself a "dietitian" (in the US), whereas there are NOT the same requirements (and often no requirements at all) to call yourself a "nutritionist."
@aftabhmm@AstroClary My only advice is to make sure (once you're decided on/accepted at a program) you contact the Accessibility and Accommodations people way ahead of time!
You may need to bring documentation and you'll want everything sorted out before (or as close to) your start date.
@DE2344@howie_hua Bonus: if you make them handwrite the cheat sheet, then they each have to make their own and you've sort of tricked them into studying! XD
