I took 1.7 million photos over 6 days to catch this photo of a commercial jet in front of the sun.
The moment it happened, TWO floating prominences were visible, making this not just my best aircraft transit photo, but one of the luckiest of my career! Videos of the transit ๐
Remote cameras belonging to NASA, partners & media click away as Artemis II heads into space shortly before sunset April 1. It was a beautiful launch! Photo: United Launch Alliance
One year anniversary of one of my favorite photos, JetBlue + the Moon: An Airbus A321-231 over the 321 (area code for the Space Coast).
JetBlue flight B61033 (reg N959JB) was climbing out of Orlando (MCO) & heading to San Juan (SJU) @ 16,192 ft & 380 kts.
Related aside: This is just about the finest example of why airlines should paint their name/logo on the underside of their planes. Well done, @JetBlue.
