Now that I have 100K followers, I want to talk about #OvarianCancer. Specifically my gritty story. The goal is awareness. I hope you find this narrative informative.
@JenVillwockMD I was stunned by this language when I began med school.. I've preferred writing all my notes with 'chief concern' instead of 'chief complaint', 'declines' in place of 'refuses', and '[reports] no' rather than 'denies' (with wishful hopes it might catch on!)
Due to our work with the @harvardmed student #COVID19 curriculum, @CellCellPress asked us to write a Cell SnapShot on COVID-19. We worked with faculty mentors @shivpillai4 and Amy Barczak. The preprint is posted here: https://t.co/p8rmrf4fHD Click the image for more resolution.
Medical students at @harvardmed put together an absolutely incredible online curriculum. For those of you in #MedEd - would direct your students to this site. Each of the 7 sections is reviewed by faculty. Great job @MichaelKochis & team!
Likewise. Especially glad the @harvardmed#COVID19 course focuses on the critical appraisal and communication of scientific research, which are important (sometimes overlooked) skills in medical training
I'm looking forward to TAing the @harvardmed#COVID19 AISC course, which emphasizes the developing nature of scientific knowledge and encourages students to think of novel questions. Thank you Max Nibert and Cammie Lesser for pulling this together within weeks. @PinkyCLangat
Today, we're standing up a project called NextTrace that aims to enable digital participatory contact tracing and guide #COVID19 surveillance efforts. See a full description here https://t.co/0jKDupUlVb or get the summary in this thread. 1/20
I am excited to announce a COVID-19 curriculum put together by Harvard Medical School students, ft basic science, epidemiology, clinical management, testing, vaccines, and more!

Enjoying many great talks in the live #epidemicsgoviral webinar, incl. Dominic Kwiatkowski of @sangerinstitute on importance of engineering 'actionable intelligence' from local sequencing efforts & @johnbrownstein on integrating data sources for epidemic surveillance
