2022లో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం 50:50 భాగస్వామ్యంతో మంజూరు చేసిన ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ₹229 కోట్ల IIFT పొన్నాడ ప్రాజెక్టుకు కేంద్రం తొలి విడతగా ₹36 కోట్లు విడుదల చేసింది.

అయితే అప్పటి జగన్ ప్రభుత్వం రాష్ట్ర వాటా నిధులు విడుదల చేయకపోవడంతో కొంత మేర పనులు జరిగి, ప్రాజెక్టు దాదాపు రెండేళ్ల పాటు నిలిచిపోయింది.

ఎన్డీయే ప్రభుత్వాలు అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత, పిఠాపురం ఎమ్మెల్యేగా శ్రీ @PawanKalyan గారి నాయకత్వంలో కాకినాడ ఎంపీ శ్రీ @tangella_uday గారు ఈ ప్రాజెక్టును ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా తీసుకుని పలుమార్లు స్థలాన్ని సందర్శించి, కేంద్ర-రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలతో సమన్వయం చేస్తూ పనులు పూర్తి చేయించారు.

నేడు IIFT పొన్నాడ ప్రాజెక్టు 100% పూర్తై కార్యకలాపాలు ప్రారంభించడానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉంది.

రెండేళ్లు నిలిచిపోయిన ఒక ప్రాజెక్టును పూర్తిచేసి విద్యార్థుల భవిష్యత్తుకు అంకితం చేయడం నిజంగా పిఠాపురం నియోజకవర్గానికి గర్వకారణం.

Held special Gram Sabhas, and promoted tribal culture & self-governance at national level.

588 Gram Panchayats in Scheduled Held Gram Sabhas.

76.74 acres of encroachment in Mangalampet & Ordered special aerial surveys and Operation Aranya to remove forest encroachments. State-wide special surveys and Operation Aranya are ongoing.

8 smugglers caught in Veeraballi forest (Annamayya district), 12 logs seized,
3 kingpin smugglers arrested in Gujarat, 151 logs (4.5 tons) seized , 9 smugglers arrested in Tirupati area, 20 logs seized, 4 arrested with 158 logs (worth ₹1.9 crore), international kingpins like Mohammed Mujammil arrested, and several groups of 5–7 smugglers in various operations.

Under Adavi Thalli Baata, constructing 1,069 km of roads to connect 625 remote tribal villages / habitations.

This is work done in just one year.

From 1998 to 2024, the law existed only on paper with some implementation — but there was no strong practical progress. Tribals are now able to see visible changes in this area.

“ఓ చిన్న గ్రామంలో నెలకొన్న సామాజిక అంతరాల వల్ల, యావత్ గ్రామమంతా భయానక ఫైలేరియా (బోద) వ్యాధి బారినపడిన వైనం 2018లోనే నా దృష్టికి వచ్చింది. గ్రామంలోని మురుగునీరు బయటకు పారకపోవడంతో అక్కడ ప్రమాదకర వ్యాధి వ్యాపించిందని తెలుసుకొని విస్తుపోయాను. అప్పట్లోనే దీనిపై మాట్లాడాను. అయితే అధికారంలోకి వచ్చాక ఈ సమస్య మీద ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించడంతో సమస్యను శాశ్వతంగా పరిష్కరించే మార్గాలని కనుగొన్నామ’ని ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రివర్యులు శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు పేర్కొన్నారు. యంత్రాంగం సమష్టిగా పని చేస్తే ప్రజలకు సంబంధించిన ఏ సమస్యను అయినా సానుకూలంగా, సావధానంగా ఎలా పరిష్కరించవచ్చో పార్వతీపురం మన్యం జిల్లా, పెదపెంకి గ్రామంలో చేపట్టిన సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధి ద్వారా నిరూపించామని చెప్పారు. గ్రామం మొత్తం మీద 197 ఫైలేరియా (బోద) కేసులు నమోదై, జాతీయస్థాయికి వెళ్లిన సమస్యను ఓ ప్రణాళిక ప్రకారం యంత్రాంగం అధిగమించిన విధానం సర్వదా అభినందనీయమన్నారు. మొదట అభివృద్ధిని వ్యతిరేకించిన గ్రామస్థులే ఇప్పుడు ఫలితాలను చూసి ప్రభుత్వాన్ని, అధికారులను మెచ్చుకోవడం సాధారణ విషయం కాదు అన్నారు.

మన్యం జిల్లా, పెదపెంకిలో భారీగా నమోదు అయిన ఫైలేరియా కేసులు, కూటమి ప్రభుత్వంలో ఆ గ్రామంపై పెట్టిన ప్రత్యేక శ్రద్ధ, సాగుతున్న పనులపై జిల్లా అధికారులతో శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు శనివారం వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్సు నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు మాట్లాడుతూ ‘‘సామాజిక అంతరాల వల్ల పెదపెంకి గ్రామంలోని కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లోని మురుగు నీరు బయటకు వెళ్లకుండా ఒకే దగ్గర నిల్వ ఉండిపోయింది. ఫలితంగా క్యూలెక్స్ దోమలు అధికమై గ్రామంలోని వారంతా వ్యాధి బారినపడ్డారు. మురుగు నీరు ఒకే దగ్గర ఉండిపోవడంతో దోమలు పెరిగాయి. ఫలితంగా ఎక్కడా లేనట్లుగా ఒకే ఊరిలో అధికంగా కేసులు నమోదు అయ్యాయి. ఇది ఆరోగ్య హెచ్చరిక అయింది.

మన్యం జిల్లాలో కీలకమైన ఈ గ్రామ జనాభా ఒకప్పుడు 7,900 ఉండేది. అయితే ఫైలేరియా కేసులు అధికంగా నమోదు కావడం, వ్యాధి ప్రబలడం వల్ల గ్రామంలో పదేళ్లలో జనాభా 12 శాతం తగ్గింది. చాలామంది వ్యాధులకు బయటపడి వలస వెళ్లిపోయారు. అధికారంలోకి రాగానే ఏజెన్సీ గ్రామం అయిన పెదపెంకి మీద ప్రధానంగా ఫోకస్ చేశాము. జిల్లా యంత్రాంగంతో మాట్లాడి కారణాలను తెలుసుకునే పని మొదలుపెట్టాం. గ్రామంలో విభిన్న వర్గాల మధ్య ఉన్న కొన్ని అంతరాల వల్ల వాడుకునే మురుగు నీటిని కూడా బయటకు కూడా పంపలేని విభేదాలు ఉన్నట్లు తేలింది. దీంతో గ్రామ సమగ్రాభివృద్ధి మీద దృష్టి సారించాం. పోలీసు, రెవెన్యూ, పంచాయతీరాజ్ శాఖల అధికారులతో కలిసి డ్రైయిన్ల ఆక్రమణలు తొలగించాం. అందరితో కలిసి కూర్చొని మాట్లాడి నరేగా నిధులు రూ.6.18 కోట్లతో మేజిక్ డ్రైన్లు, సీసీ రోడ్లు నిర్మించడంతో మంచి ఫలితాలు వచ్చాయి. మురుగు నీరు ఇంకిపోయేలా మ్యాజిక్ డ్రైన్లు, వర్షపు నీరు నిలిచిపోకుండా సీసీ రోడ్లు వేయించాం. దీంతో నీరు ఎక్కడ నిలవకుండా పారుదల సౌకర్యం ఏర్పడింది. మురుగుపోయిందని, డ్రైనేజీ కంపు లేకుండా చేశారని క్రమంగా గ్రామస్థుల నుంచి అనుకూలత వచ్చింది. ఫలితంగా కేసుల తీవ్రత తగ్గింది. దీనికి త్వరలోనే శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం లభిస్తుందన్న నమ్మకం కలిగింది.
