@AlpacaAurelius Usually love your takes, this ain't one of them. Many athletes are golfers and it's one of the most challenging sports to actually be good at. It humbles you just like life can and most people can't break 80 so yes they suck
Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in.
If I bought my property outright for $60,000 in 2009
Now the county says it’s worth $246,000.
Did I sell it? No.
Did I make a profit? No.
Did I get a check for $246,000? No.
But my taxes jumped like I did.
That’s the problem.
This isn’t income.
This isn’t cash.
This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it.
If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell.
If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax.
So why does owning a home work differently?
Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains?
A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money.
You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it.
This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.”
It’s about being charged for value you never received.
And people are starting to notice.
This needs to be on everyone’s mind✔️
Dear Democrats,
Since you've made it crystal clear that requiring an ID to exercise a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT is "disenfranchisement" and "the new Jim Crow," I have a proposal.
The Second Amendment is a constitutional right. Voting is a constitutional right. You claim requiring ID to vote suppresses people from exercising their right. Okay. Then requiring ID to purchase a firearm suppresses people from exercising THEIR right. Same logic. Same constitution. Same argument.
So here's my challenge to every Republican in Congress: introduce a bill TOMORROW that eliminates ALL identification requirements for purchasing firearms. No background checks. No ID. No waiting periods. Nothing. If Democrats truly believe that ID requirements prevent citizens from exercising constitutional rights, they'll HAVE to support it. Right?
...right?
Watch how fast they twist themselves into pretzels. "Well, THAT'S different because—" No. Stop. It's not different. You don't get to argue that an ID requirement is an unconstitutional burden on ONE right but a perfectly reasonable safeguard for ANOTHER. That's not how the Constitution works. Either ID requirements disenfranchise people or they don't. Pick one.
And let's be honest about what's really happening here. The party that created Jim Crow literacy tests, had a former KKK RECRUITER in Robert Byrd filibuster the Civil Rights Act for 14 hours, and segregated federal offices under Woodrow Wilson is now telling me that Black Americans can't figure out how to get a free government ID. India scans fingerprints for 1.4 BILLION voters. But apparently Americans are too helpless to show the same card they used to buy Sudafed on the way to the polls.
The SAVE Act passed the House requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote. Democrats fought it tooth and nail. Why? What POSSIBLE reason would you oppose verifying that voters are citizens unless you NEED non-citizens on the rolls?
Quinn's Law #2: "If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing." They scream "voter suppression" while fighting every measure to secure elections. They're not protecting rights. They're protecting a system they can manipulate.
So I'm dead serious. Put the bill on the floor. No ID for gun purchases. Call their bluff. Make them explain why an ID requirement is tyranny at the ballot box but common sense at the gun store. I'll bring the popcorn.
But what do I know? I'm just a guy who thinks constitutional rights should be treated equally — not selectively — depending on which ones the left finds politically convenient.
Wrong. The reason SS will collapse by 2029/2030 is because the ‘contributions’ were merely taxes. The money was never invested— not a single penny. All of the funds went to the general Treasury fund and were immediately spent by the Federal government.
What SS ‘owns’ is a bunch of worthless IOUs from a bankrupt government.
It is — and always was — a Ponzi scheme where current recipients benefits were paid by new entrants to the system.
Once you realize how many Judges are connected to or have a family member connected to a NGO, Nonprofit, Firm etc everything makes sense.
Our judiciary has been fully corrupted.
Bought.
It’s one of the most important issues of our time.
To save America this must be addressed.
If the American public is unable to influence the outcome, we do not live in a democracy.
The House, Senate and Presidency are Republican and yet a single activist masquerading as a judge is able to force massive fraud to continue …
Taxes should be canceled for the foreseeable future.
Not one more penny should be paid to the federal government until they can get their shit together.
We are expected to balance our checkbook. The same should be done with them.
Fraud scam. Fraud scam. Fraud scam. Fraud scam. Fraud scam. Fraud scam.
I'm rich & this is a lie. When politicians lower my taxes, I don't create additional jobs (only demand does that). I simply save that money
Trickle-down economics has been repeatedly debunked yet conservatives lie to you so they can give their wealthy overlords more tax cuts
@RBReich This is wrong for you to say these kinds of things because everything you said was a lie. You are part of the problem for our political divide we have in the U.S. Many of the Dems said they shut it down, you knew it bad when union's were going against the dems
Elon’s stance is principled.
Trump’s stance is practical.
Tech needs Republicans for the present.
Republicans need Tech for the future.
Drop the tax cuts, cut some pork, get the bill through.
This is exactly the plan.
Think 1985 "Plaza Accords" (France,Germany,Japan,UK,and the US devalued the US dollar) with a twist.
Mar-a-Largo Accords with stablecoins added in to shift the balance from petrodollar and countries holding treasuries to private issuers of stablecoins holding the treasuries instead.
Lock in. A new Bretton Woods is here.😎👇
