@virginmedia Is there any way to make an actual complaint when I have an issue? I tried tonight but was told that the complaint would be raised and immediately closed to be dealt with internally and that my issue didn't warrant a response from your company 🤷🏼♀️
Dear Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Lid, Aldi, Waitrose, Morrisons, and all other stores that have self checkout.
You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now.
The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping
everyone.
I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already
🛒 filled my cart
🛒 emptied my cart
🛒 scanned the items
🛒refilled my cart
and so I just skipped the exit line and left.
I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me " as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.
You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.
I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.
• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's vour problem not mine.
• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.
YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING.
YOU DON'T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU.
Signed ....All of us
These are jobs that are needed to have for young and old

@Emmysmummy83@jet2tweets@easyJet@TUIUK Unfortunately it's not the case though 😟 We are booked to go to Corfu today where the situation is now the same. @jet2tweets have told us today that if we cancel they will not refund or let us book an alternative 😤
Clearing out the house and I found this.
Originating from a time when gay and lesbian people were persecuted and not accepted as they are today, I understand why it was created.
It is a testament to how genuinely progressive society is (despite what those who wish to divide us down identity lines would have us believe) that discrimination against gay and lesbian people is condemned by the overwhelming majority of people. Myself included.
This simple flag, with its simple message, and the movement it represents has been hijacked by the modern and ever more “progressive” iterations of it, to now include a triangle which has a black line (representing Black Lives Matter) what on earth skin colour has to do with sexual orientation, i have no idea. A brown line (which is for brown people) doesn’t matter how brown you are, tough luck, you only get the one brown line (doesn’t seem very inclusive of diversity to me) Again I have no idea what brownness has to do with sexual orientation. And then there’s the baby blue and the baby pink (which represents transgenderism) There is now even a sideways 8 on the latest ever evolving migraine flag, unveiled this week (which represents autistic people) In what world has autism got anything to do with sexual orientation? Madness.
Transgenderism isn’t about two people of the same sex being attracted to each other. It’s based on a fundamental lie. That men can become women and women can become men. All it takes is the have your healthy genitals chopped off and bobs your uncle (or your aunt) Adults who choose to undergo these crude surgeries are free to do so. However sad some people may find it, it’s their choice. But it doesn’t change reality. It doesn’t alter the truth.
It is the promotion of this gender ideology to children in schools which is most disturbing. From social transitioning, to new and ever more ridiculous pronouns, through to breast binding, puberty blockers and ultimately irreversible life changing surgeries is abhorrent. Children and young people do not have the mental capacity to understand the consequences such permanent decisions.
Just read or listen to the testimonies of those who now have to live out the rest of their lives in regret, deprived of breasts, penises, the opportunity to enjoy sexual pleasure, or become parents. Instead confronted with a future of Osteoporosis and multiple infections.
We wouldn’t let a child cut off his or her arm if they wanted to. Any doctor who was willing to do so would be struck off immediately. Instead, we would, quite rightly encourage kids to seek professional help. So why on earth would we seek to normalise and celebrate this most intimate and irrevocable of mutations to children? All couched within the most insidious of terms “Gender affirming healthcare.” It’s not healthcare, it’s body destruction.
Now you can feel free to disagree with me, and I respect anyone’s right or do so. But it seems until LGB draw a clear line between the TQ++ etc etc, those who are hiding behind Lesbian and gay people to push this nihilistic and narcissistic agenda, will continue to undo all the progress made in the names of equal rights.
That is why I have no issue with this flag and why I despise the others so much.
Pale Blue Dot is a photo of Earth that was taken by the Voyager 1 space probe in 1990 from a distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) as it was leaving our solar system. This is what Carl Sagan said about the photo:
"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor, and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every 'superstar,' every 'supreme leader,' every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there — on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”
@notcapnamerica The UK loved Megan & the influence they believed she'd have on the monarchy. They didn't turn on her because she "stole" Harry away, they turned on her because she made a mockery of a centuries old institution that the majority of the rest of the planet has some respect for 🤔
