@morrisoncrying I stopped in 2020 after a decade of playing because I thought Covid would be too much to keep up with player-wise, and just never bothered to go back.
Turns out I like watching football for the teams trying to win, and not which players are gonna have a lot of yards.
@WomanDefiner Some people just make bad decisions. They made them in school, they made them in their 20s, and it continues into middle and even old age.
@mattforney Camping can be fun, as long as you rent a cabin in the woods.
You can sit around the campfire all night, get drunk, roast hot dogs, and tell stories.
Then go sleep in a bed when you're ready.
@awesomeguyhomie This is part of why I quit playing. People who hadn't paid would just stop playing midway, giving their opponents an auto-win. Or they'd try to dictate what trades were allowed through the voting system.
If you can't pay your dues before week 1, don't sign up to play.
@AccentsSouthern He tended to run his mouth a lot at Arkansas and it tanked his recruiting abilities in Texas when he said they don’t play real football at a high school coaches summit because coaches were moving to the spread.
Bert always talks a big game but his results aren’t that great
@BigDickBarclay Same thing for delivery drivers. “By gawd I live off the grid but what do you mean you won’t bring my Amazon order to my front door? You expect me to have my address on my mailbox indicating which dirt road is actually my driveway? What kind of customer service is this?”
@Jotapepromotor@KingRomulus_ Yeah, should've learned from The Rock.
Didn't get over as a Rocky Maivia, joined a faction, eventually became a "cool heel" by slinging insults, fast forward a couple years and the fans were begging for his inevitable babyface turn.
That should've been Roman's arc.
@UniteFor_Change@KingRomulus_ That's one of my biggest problems with modern wrestling in general.
The fans make it all about their "this is awesome" chants, and they care way too much about the backstage rumors.
Just enjoy the show for what it is, or if you don't enjoy it, then turn it off.
@luke_winkie The key is having someone who knows all the rent values by memory as your banker. Then they can call it out instead of waiting for someone to find their card and look. And keep the TV off, prevents distractions.
Bonus: take a shot of alcohol when you pass go.
@FR33PengShuai@npelley@the_joe_marotta Could be because the show was running long and they turned it into a squash. I know the 10 man tag match had to be cancelled for this reason.
@ProgPro Yes, and this is one of the reasons why I refuse to pay for music products. No CDs, no streaming.
I will buy shirts or hats at a concert and support musicians that way. But the recording industry can suck it.
@JustAlyxCentral Should’ve just had Cena cheat to beat Cody at WM and turn heel there. Then have him cheat to win every defense. He finally “sees the light” after Cody beats him in his final match.
Wouldn’t have been the greatest story, but still better than what we got.
@_jokeocracy Yep. I haven’t seen more than maybe 20 movies in the last 15 years.
I’d rather watch classics or any number of YT videos about real stuff.
If people wanna watch modern films go for it but it’s not for me.
@Owlsayssouth@SandyofCthulhu Yep, Voyager needed the DS9 approach. It’s ok to have main cast conflict and do serialized storytelling. The premise would’ve done well with those aspects.
But instead it tried to be TNG part 2.
@rionmo@TheGlobal_Index Yeah whoever made this map didn’t do their research. Arkansas was a state in 1836 so it most certainly had numerous settlements prior to 1886.
