Indeed the logo of @arakucoffeein@arakucoffee holds up the story of how an entire community of tribal farmers learned regenerative agriculture science from @naandi_india and with support from philanthropists created an inspiring story of doing the impossible at the global scale of ethics and excellence. 🙏
This is such a blatant wilful illegal misuse of an existing ethical brand @arakucoffeein which is also listed separately on Amazon site! So, even @amazonIN@amazon should look into this and delist them or ask them to correct their false claims and narrative. Meanwhile we shall investigate and complain to appropriate legal authorities. Thank you @ayurvedacharya
I’m so glad you asked, because it gives me an opportunity to clarify something that often causes confusion.
So forgive me for this long post.
The store you mentioned is not part of our Araku café chain.
The name Araku coffee can be used by anyone as it is a GI tagged name of a village & a mandal in Andhra Pradesh
Araku, like Darjeeling, can’t be exclusively trademarked by anyone.
You will find many businesses using variations such as Araku Valley Coffee, Araku Tribal Coffee and Araku Nature.
What is uniquely ours is the ARAKU brand identity; our distinctive logo, typography & graphics, which you’ll see on every genuine ARAKU café and pack.
And our Cafés also have a distinctive, pristine, look & feel with a colour palette which we have pioneered.
I’ve attached a photo of our logo so you know what to look for.
And behind that logo lies a story we’re immensely proud of.
ARAKU coffee is the result of 25 years of regenerative agriculture work by the Naandi Foundation in the Araku tribal region.
What began with just 1,000 farmers has grown voluntarily to 100,000 farming families across 1,300 villages.
Through the Tribal Coffee Cooperative created by @Naandi_india, farmers receive year-round, field-based training, often from tribal trainers within their own communities, in growing and harvesting exceptional coffee alongside pepper, fruit and other crops that preserve biodiversity.
Today, it is the largest organic coffee cooperative in the world.
And quality is non-negotiable.
Farmers who want to remain in the cooperative and sell their coffee to us must meet rigorous standards, passing through 19 milestones every year to achieve a score of 91/100.
Their coffees are then evaluated by an international panel: the Global Gems of Araku Jury & the awards are presented at the cooperative’s extraordinary annual gathering, representing more than 35,000 farmer members.
So yes, we’re delighted if the growing recognition of the name Araku helps other entrepreneurs and coffee growers from the region prosper.
But if you want to taste OUR Araku, the coffee that is the product of this remarkable 25-year journey, look for the logo.
That logo doesn’t just identify the coffee. It identifies the community and the process behind it.

The eighth in the world. Four in France, now four in India.
I trust you’ll be able to figure out which city & which location?
Indeed. These girls @NanhiKali we work for teaches us some of the most lasting lessons of grit, perseverance, humility and how to dare to dream.
#TeachersDay
On #TeachersDay I salute and bow my head to these Women Entrepreneurs aka Farmers in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh. These are just four of a 100,000 that we work with to create Good Food Corners as part of @naandi_india effort to create a nationwide Good Food for All network where women produce all the food for their homes in small patches of land learning for the first time Regenerative Organic Agriculture of Naandi Foundation. They have learned, taught and impacted a million lives in their villages.
They are both the best students and teachers I have met last two years.
(Thank you @MahindraRise for supporting this initiative year after year as part of the CSR initiatives.🙏)
This story of Gayatri winning under the tutelage of her father is my Motivation story for the month!
I have seen Gopichand in his academy training so many hopefuls, day in and day out, for the last two decades. I recall going there to see a very young Gayatri starting out to play. What a journey. As a fellow Indian and father of a daughter I am so proud.
More power to you my friend Gopi.
Take a bow @PGopichand73
Perfect case for being Ambassador to #ProudFathersForDaughters for @NanhiKali which now has over 1300 girls footballs teams raised by @naandi_india
Maybe next time I will take the father-daughter duo for the finals of our #ToofaanCup to inspire the 100,000 girls we work with. 🙏
#September #MonthlyMotivation
(Of course, Congratulations to both Teresa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand.)
I express my heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister @ncbn for saying these words of appreciation to @naandi_india and the people behind the success of @arakucoffeein as a globally renowned brand from India. The Hon’ble CM’s words of praise is a huge fillip to all the tribal farmers and the team at Naandi Foundation. 🙏
Shri Chandrababu Naidu garu, the Hob’ble CM of Andhra Pradesh is a visionary leader needs no retelling by me. What needs to be highlighted is his visionary zeal for building institutions that impact and last for ever. The best example is how he set up in 1998 both @naandi_india and @ISBedu in Hyderabad.
For Naandi Foundation, he had chosen the late Dr.K. Anji Reddy to be the Founding Chair and they together got me as the Founding CEO in 1999 (although I joined only in end 2000). I convinced him and Dr. Anji Reddy to convert Naandi into a direct implementation NGO and make it responsible for work across India and not just for the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Naandi has cumulatively impacted over 10 million lives through its scores of programs. The revival of hundreds of Lift Irrigation Schemes; creating largest centralised kitchen in Hyderabad and feeding a million Mid day meals daily in 26 locations in India; and also impacting a million each of school going girls and unemployed youth across India with skills and jobs. Last two are thanks to generous uninterrupted CSR funds from @KCMahindraEduc1 for Project Nanhikali and @mahindrarise under the banner of Mahindra Pride Classrooms which has now become a Job (creation) Factory!
But one ambitious legacy project we chose in 2002 was the Transformation of Araku region which was struggling with Naxal movement targeting development work by Government. It is 25 years of daily dedicated work in 1200 villages with every single tribal family together with a farmers coffee cooperative (SAMTFMACS) that resulted in transforming the region with world class coffee and 55 million trees planted through support from various innovative financing schemes from around the world. ITDA Paderu and @CoffeeboardI always gave Naandi all the support for our yeoman service that is still going on to a greater scale and global success.
All this while, the global brand launch of @arakucoffeein was the vision of Dr Reddy and @anandmahindra who became the Chair of Naandi Foundation from 2013 after the untimely demise of Dr. Reddy. We then roped in his son Satish Reddy and Kris Gopalakrishnan and Maganti Rajendra Prasad also as Life Trustees to support making Araku Coffee into a global brand.
After opening 4 hugely successful cafés in Paris, we are expanding there making Indian Coffee and Agriculture world famous through our own excellent Arkau Coffee and branding and design. India too, we are expanding regularly. In few months we will open in New York, USA.
For the last few years, over 72,000 farmers are making net profits in lakhs of rupees annually from their tiny estates that are only 1-2 acres. Half a million lives are prospering in the region with Naandi’s work combining Regenerative agriculture science with global branding and marketing.
Naandi and Araku will continue to fly India’s tri-colour high with highest standards of ethics, quality and impact.
Very soon millions across the world will be watching the FIFA World Cup Men’s Football Finals between Argentina 🇦🇷 and Spain 🇪🇸
Meanwhile, far away in rural villages of India a tournament that mirrored the FIFA Cup will reach its finals in the ancient city of Prayagraj where two of the best girls teams from 2350 teams of girls trained by @naandi_india under the project @NanhiKali will wear similar jerseys of Spain 🇪🇸 and Argentina 🇦🇷 and play their finals of what is now famously known in India as the Toofaan Cup - a unique grassroots football tournament for girls (many who never played any game before) trained by women coaches day in and out for few years to make them the stars they are today.
Here’s a clip of the players going to the ground for the final match !
Please cheer and support them too.
🙏❤️ 👏
When I started Project Nanhi Kali nearly three decades ago, I never imagined it would become a movement of this scale.
Today, thanks to all those who joined & shaped the initiative, it has impacted nearly a million girls while creating an ecosystem of communities, corporates and individuals committed to changing what it means to be a girl in India.
What I love most is that the team keeps reinventing. Its latest innovation is using football to build confidence, teamwork and leadership.
With over 2,350 girls’ teams, this year’s Toofaan Cup mirrors the FIFA World Cup, with teams representing all 32 participating nations. The girls are learning far more than football; they’re discovering the world.
My salute to the thousand-odd Skill Associates and the all-women Game Changers and coaches, and to the people who have shaped this journey: Sheetal Mehta, Swati, Rohini Mukherjee, Lisa Murawsky, Radha Varadarajan, Seema, Devu and, of course, the irrepressible Manoj Kumar!
May this tribe continue to Rise…
Long-term, meaningful change doesn't happen overnight or alone. It is built with communities, conviction and partners who choose to stay the course.
At the Livelihoods Rendez-vous, our CEO, @manoj_naandi, reflects on the power of enduring partnerships. Among Naandi's earliest supporters, Livelihoods Fund, has been an important partner in helping improve the lives of smallholder farmers and supporting the regeneration of the Araku landscape.

Karnataka's Dr Sameer Naik builds successful kesar mango farm with Israel-inspired high-density technology.
He started the farming project in 2019, using the Israeli technique of high density plantation, and the trees started bearing fruit 3 years later.
Since then, the yield has grown exponentially, and this year Dr Naik expects a produce almost six times higher than what he achieved 4 years ago.
The farm is powered by drip irrigation, solar systems, and water conservation structures, combining sustainability with technology.
₹60 kesar mango sapling planted in backyard 4 years ago.
Harvested 200 mangoes today.
A child who watches a mango ripen on a tree learns more about food than a thousand advertisements can teach.
They called him “Pagal Sardar” for collecting discarded mango seeds. Today, the world knows him as India’s Gutli Man.🥭
From helping struggling farmers in Bengal to growing 8 lakh+ fruit trees, Jasmit Singh Arora turned waste into hope, income, and a greener future.
This mango season, don’t let a seed go to waste.
Wash it. Dry it. Send it.
Because what looks like a discarded gutli to you could become food, income, and hope for a farmer tomorrow.

The team @naandi_india created different vehicles (@arakucoffeein@UFCo_India ) to spread across India the most sustainable biology led agriculture template of Naandi Agriculture (from Earth to Mouth) to make India become the role model for producing nutritious food to everyone without damaging any part of Mother Earth and ensuring every producer/farmer has sustained profits to make it an aspirational livelihood career.
No Chemicals/Pesticides.
No Middle men.
Maximum Nutrition for consumers.
Maximum Profits for farmers.
Thank you @anandmahindra@kris_sg@satishkreddy and Maganti Rajendra Prasad to be our Life Trustees and trust and support us in every possible way to make Naandi to be the medium to enable India to create this template that the world can emulate.
Now we are deepening our “footprints” in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
Watch this space in the years to come.

Every crisis has a way of revealing something larger than an immediate fix.
Sometimes the real breakthrough is not managing the crisis better but outgrowing the dependency that caused it in the first place.
As someone once said: “The best solutions don’t just solve problems. They dissolve them.”
Right now, global fertilizer supply chains are under strain because of the blockage in the Strait of Hormuz. Urea prices are reportedly up sharply. Phosphate supplies are tightening.
And yet, in the middle of all this, about 2,000 Indian farmers have just completed another full season with zero synthetic inputs. Normal yields. Lower costs.
Not a pilot project. Not a theory. They’ve been doing this since 2019.
What struck me most is that 80–90% of the farmers return every season, not out of loyalty to a movement, but because the economics work.
Yields comparable to conventional farming. Lower input costs. And produce that tests residue-free every single time.
A working model. Built right here in India.
This video by @UFCo_India captures a remarkable agricultural breakthrough built on over two decades of work by @naandi_india , the same organisation that first helped create the @arakucoffeein story in Andhra Pradesh.
After seeing the success of regenerative farming with Araku Coffee, Naandi Foundation, which I’m privileged to chair, spun off Urban Farms Co. as a social enterprise with an ambitious goal: to create a nationwide “food grid” of regenerative vegetable farms serving urban India.
Today, Urban Farms Co. & its partner farmers have demonstrated that food can be grown at scale without urea, synthetic fertilisers or pesticides.
They now grow more than 50 varieties of vegetables across states ranging from Himachal Pradesh to Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh, supplying nearly 10,500 tonnes of vegetables per year.
And this is not confined to company-owned farms. Over 1,200 partner farmers are generating sustained profits through regenerative, residue-free agriculture.
Available currently in Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune. On Blinkit as well.
The future of food may not run on imported chemistry.
It may well run on healthier soil, better science & farmer economics that actually work.
Bravo to Vikash, Raheel and Madhur, who are leading this mission at Urban Farms Co. & who took on the challenge of @manoj_naandi to prove that regenerative agriculture can move beyond philanthropy and become truly market-ready.
India’s most famous contribution to the world of mathematics is Number Zero.
And now the best contribution of @NanhiKali to the world is the power of Number One.
Watch this beautifully made film to understand how One is the most powerful number when it comes to social transformation, especially girls empowerment.
After 20 years and 1 million girls transformed by Project Nanhi Kali, the film shows you how a holistic education program where each and every girl when supported and mentored by a trained “didi” for years day in and day out produces a game changing power that is irreversible and invincible.
(Project Nanhi Kali is jointly by @naandi_india and @KCMahindraEduc1 )
