@tabletoproyale@CCGHistory @NostalgixTCG Average of $650 means around 1 case on average per person. I don't think that's unreasonable, it's what a lot of people spend on each new MTG set, and far less than people spend on stuff like the modern horizons or Masters products
@norbert88 @medina_mtg @FrankLepore Oh yeah for sure, I can't imagine the current unlimited runs are anywhere near current mtg sets. They're always printing more but it keeps selling out
@norbert88 @medina_mtg @FrankLepore I mean, not drastically. C&C appears 1 in every 5 boxes, whereas your chances of a specific mythic in a draft box are around 1 in 3?
@FrankLepore @medina_mtg @james_white Like yeah fyendal's spring tunic in cold foil is basically as iconic as black lotus, and there's less of them printed than alpha lotuses. So it being 6k (about 2x the price of a CE lotus) makes sense.
The cat is out of the bag for all TCGs that rare cards should be worth money.
@FrankLepore @medina_mtg @james_white Outside of that, any of the 3-ofs are usually between $1-15. And then it's the legendaries that are between $50-200 on the high end, and those are 1-ofs.
As for black lotus level pricing, it's because there's cards that literally have the print run of an alpha lotus
