Brighton - 3v2 with boards in goal
⚽️ - 3v2 (5s to score)
🌬️ - High Intensity
🗓️ - MD-4/MD-3
Brighton are performing a counter attacking activity where 1 team has 5 seconds to score. There are boards inside the goals to encourage attacking players to follow up for rebounds.
Coaching a 7 aside team?
When playing out from the back, your defenders will likely face pressure from the side and face2face
Help them build the technical foundation to deal with these situations using this. No pressure so they can concentrate on perfecting their mechanics
Interesting debate about 4 goal games in my Coach Ed Community.
This graphic has 8 variations that work on different principles of the game.... but after the debate we've had, might need to add a few more!

With club training - you often are fighting the battle of minimal numbers & sometimes even limited space.
Here’s a SUPER SIMPLE way to work on your buildout & pressing principles all in one.
VARIATIONS can range from:
-Creating channels with different perimeters in using them
-Touch limits either in possession or to score (in mini goals)
-Create zones that the attackers on the buildout team can not cross into when building towards the mini goals - to encourage the team pressing them to press.
There are many ways you can adapt something simple like this to fit your needs
💯
Some players have a higher tolerance for failure in training. Others are crippled by a few mistakes.
Our job is to build a culture where failure is honored as part of the learning process.
How we react as coaches (both in verbal & body language) sets the tone.

"Players bring their character onto the pitch, and that's just as important as their ability. If it were only about ability, then management and recruitment would be straightforward. But it’s not that simple. Understanding who players truly are, getting to know their character, that’s a real skill".
