@Generic_Jake4@bee_fumo I feel like you're close to the truth here but slightly missing the point. Why is the soft not compatible? Why make the users life difficult by fracturing the desktop landscape landscape into an unsupportable mess? Why is it acceptable to make installing software an actual issue?
@cory_fitz@txgermanbre Per 100g allows you to weigh your food and calculate your macros easily. It divides neatly and males comparing macros between brands easier. Milka cookies? 56g serving. Kinder cookies? 29g serving.
Instead I can just compare the per 100g values within seconds, no math needed.
@TracketPacer Actual reality of using grok. It was absolutely unhinged up to a few months ago, but they really tightened the restrictions for almost everything. Up to the point where it declines general medical questions or photo editing of inanimate objects/rooms.
@AdrienLE Tattooing is nice. Starter sets are cheap and materials to practice are as well. If you go free hand then you literally have no computer involved. If you use digitally created stencils then I guess your tablet or phone.
@alerityy@ladybirdbrowser Ngl reviewing 1500 lines of code that even the "author" hasn't bothered reading sounds like an awful way to spend your afternoon. If those were quality and concise contributions from diligent devs, I'm sure we wouldn't be here, looking at that announcement.
@Wingmeals It's honestly a shame bungie decided to do a generic extraction shooter with vibrant candyland visuals. From making a generation defining shooter franchise (Halo) to this, just sad. I have 20 people in my steam friends list and legit no one has playtime in Marathon.
@TimSweeneyEpic My man, you had developers sign contracts with Epic to have them list their games on EGS exclusively. Given how much smaller and less relevant EGS is compared to Steam, I wouldn't be surprised that Epic caused those devs a sizable chunk in missed revenue.
@lexmfv@lafaiel Yes but unrelated to the conversation. The new device in question from Dell has 8GB of RAM, so does my clean installation of Windows 11 on my tablet. The Dell runs at 5.6GB usage, my fresh install at like 3.6GB. Implying that there's additional stuff running.
@lafaiel I know that RAM number for certain, I reinstalled W11 last night for an upcoming vacation, the thing had been collecting dust for like 2 years.
After updates are done, a 9 year old mid range tablet runs W11 with acceptable performance for browsing and video playback via plex.
@lafaiel A clean W11 install runs on my ancient 2017 Surface tablet with 8GB of RAM at around 3.6GB usage at idle.
2 Cores/4 Threads i5 and it runs okay.
Considering the shown device is from Dell, my bet is on bloatware and OEM demo software running.
@azevecoframe@Zariman_TenZero@PlayWarframe Good choices! I tried to be funny with mine, my Roomba at home is called floor slut, and I wanted to name my Helminth Wallslut, but the censorship didn't have any of that :(
@gamefandave@stupidtechtakes same, I had a supergrok sub for the last half year or so, I had a Mass Effect text RPG that I've made with Grok, and it's unusable now. context window is tiny and even for text the rate limit makes each game session like 2-10 minutes max.
@hahehyhu@sudo_goreng Hot take, but especially the old Thinkpad keyboards are dogshit. Somewhat easy to replace, sturdy and cheap, but fuck that FN key where the gods intended the ctrl key to be.
