When the narrative oversimplifies the issue of missing Coptic girls in Egypt, it masks the deeper systemic oppression by both state and church. It's time to recognize the complexity and listen to Coptic women empowered to tell their own stories.

@uncreated_light @copticml The claim that USAID is funding the persecution of Orthodox Christians in Ukraine is inaccurate. It conflates the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) with the Russian-affiliated UOC-MP, which faces scrutiny in Ukraine due to alleged ties to Russia amid the ongoing conflict. #nuances

[Progressive Copts @ProgressiveCopt]

@Forkliftbadger That should work!

[Progressive Copts @ProgressiveCopt]

So now Trump is an Eastern Orthodox EO representation, and Vance is an Oriental Orthodox representation?! Two of the whitest represent the two least white Christianities?! Good grief!

"There needs to be more informed dialogue across the political divide in these communities. “There is no more high time than these next four years to have that way of conducting conversations,” he said."

[Progressive Copts @ProgressiveCopt]

We were featured in @PG_PeterSmith's story for @ap, stressing Copts are not a monolith in accepting Trump's tokenization and the need for community dialogue beyond demonization and elitism.

We are excited to learn more from the Coptic expert on the topic, Dr. Miray Philips, in this important talk.
