.@jamestalarico: That decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling. These false claims got millions of views online. This is what I call the rage economy. Conspiracy theorists can post anything they want on the internet. They get clicks. The billionaires who own these platforms get rich. We all get angry and nobody's life gets any better. Conspiracy theories don't put food on the table or gas in the tank. They don't actually improve our communities or improve our country.

[David Sirota @davidsirota]

One of the most viral episodes of the @LeverNews podcast MASTER PLAN is about the Obama administration wildly expanding the president's drone warfare powers.

Now, a former Obama administration national security official and his think tank are floating the idea of bombing China👇

[Acyn @Acyn]

Collins: Do you believe that spouses should be off limits?

El-Sayed: I'd rather not talk about spouses at all. The truth of the matter is that Donald Trump, almost as soon as I was nominated, tweeted a picture of me and my wife relative to him and his wife, trying to highlight the fact that my wife wears a hijab, as if to make an argument that that's somehow less American.

And they have this interesting dynamic. Donald Trump says one thing(Data centers or tweets a picture of my wife) and then Vance pretends like it would be impossible for anybody ever to do something like that. So I'd like them to actually face down their own hypocrisy.

[Glenn Greenwald @ggreenwald]

No member of Congress has been a more vehement defender of a ubiquitous, warrantless domestic surveillance state than Mike Rogers. He was the CIA and NSA's lead man in the GOP House.

Smart of @AbdulElSayed to highlight this and the critical importance of privacy in the US:

[Team Talarico @TeamTalaricoHQ]

.@JamesTalarico on Texas officially banning THC:

“This bill is insane.

Texans aren’t going to stop smoking weed and eating edibles because politicians in Austin say so. Texans will still use THC — but instead of getting it safely from a local small business, they’ll go back to getting it from the black market. From the drug cartels.

This ban is a gift to the cartels.

We are now telling full-grown adults how to live their lives. This is the nanny state at its worst; this is big government at its worst.

Instead of fully funding our schools, guaranteeing healthcare, or making childcare more affordable — this Legislature is focused on banning a product that gives people a little peace.

We’re making people’s lives harder, not easier.

I want to leave you with a quote: ‘It is time to end needless arrests and incarcerations of adults for small amounts of marijuana for personal use.’ That wasn’t a Democrat. That was President Donald Trump.

To my Republican colleagues, I’m asking you to oppose the cartels, stand with President Trump, and vote no on this insane bill.”

[Senadora Julie Gonzales @SenadoraJulie]

👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 next stop: Colorado.

I’m running to unseat John Hickenlooper, a do-nothing Dem in the US Senate who voted for ten (!) Trump cabinet nominees.

[Summer Lee @SummerForPA]

The silence from Democrats when Muslim colleagues and candidates are attacked is a cancerous rot.

We cannot lead our country out this moment if we're willing to accept the abuse or dehumanization of any marginalized group.

[TheProgressiveWing @ProgressiveWing]

@SaveFarrisLSU @devout68533 @ryangrim Mill's final act before suspending her campaign was to veto L.D 307, creating a 18 month moratorium on data center with vast support from Maine constituents. Why would they rally to her if even what you said about all other things being equal was true (its not).

[TheProgressiveWing @ProgressiveWing]

@SaveFarrisLSU @devout68533 @ryangrim Which one of the 'all policy positons'

M4a?
Higher minimum wage?
Supreme Court ethics reform?
Oil taxes?
Conservation?
Pentagon oversight?
Veteran support?
Stopping mass deportations?
National childcare?
Saving social security?

Did Webster update 'all' to 'none'?

[TheProgressiveWing @ProgressiveWing]

@AllisonRFloyd @Acyn ' a site known to be predatory of underaged users. ',

so anyone with a MySpace, Facebook, telegram, google, Yahoo, Snapchat, Twitter and any other social media account is automatically a pedo, when no evidence exists to show convos with anyone but adults? Pretty defamatory.

[TheProgressiveWing @ProgressiveWing]

@SaveFarrisLSU @devout68533 @ryangrim Complaing about a 'nazi' (based solely on one viewpoint of a tattoo and no documented evidence or statements proclaiming or supporting nazi viewpoints) on a platform owned and operated by a person who literally gave a nazi salute in front of the entire world, is pretty ironic.

[Texas Democratic Party @texasdemocrats]

It’s official: Saturday’s keynote speaker at the Texas Democratic Convention will be Senator @berniesanders. We can’t wait to welcome him to Texas! 🤠

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

Dr. Hamawy has saved lives with courage and honor - as a 9/11 first responder, a combat trauma surgeon in Iraq, a volunteer in hospitals under bombardment in Gaza, and in emergency rooms in New Jersey.

Status quo politics is broken. We need bold leaders like him in Congress.

[Congresswoman Maxine Dexter @RepDexterOR]

BREAKING: I just motioned to subpoena Don Trump Jr. for funneling $670 million in taxpayer dollars to a critical minerals company he has financial stake in.

Republicans left the hearing room.

[B.W. Carlin @BaileyCarlin]

Bernie Sanders in 2003.

Worth the watch.

[Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders]

It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.

While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.

And they’re right.

[Tariq Kenney-Shawa @tksshawa]

Just so everyone is clear about what’s going on - yesterday, UCLA allowed nonviolent student protesters to be attacked & beaten for hours by pro-Israel mobs while police watched. Now that the pro-Israel thugs have left, LAPD are violently arresting the student protesters.

[Lowkey @Lowkey0nline]

Footage has emerged of the LAPD shooting rubber coated steel bullets at pro-Palestinian student protestors at UCLA last night.

[Ramy Abdu| رامي عبده @RamAbdu]

Graphic scenes: An Israeli army drone pursued four civilian youths who attempted to reach their destroyed homes and killed them with missiles in Khan Younis at the start of last February.

[More Perfect Union @MorePerfectUS]

The Minnesota House and Senate have now both passed a law to set minimum pay rates for Uber and Lyft drivers.

Uber threatened to leave parts of the state over the legislation.

Drivers celebrated one of the bill's sponsors @OmarFatehMN after it passed.
