Project Resist has united with Sharon Holland & bereaved families to campaign for justice for victims of domestic abuse related suicides. Our aim is to raise awareness and expose the systemic failures of the police and criminal justice system to treat these deaths as homicides.
Thanks #Filia2025 for creating the space for women to learn about the work of @ProjectResistUK and @AngelouCentre1 and their devestating new report 'Why do we have to Hide Away' about women's lives after the 2024 racist riots. https://t.co/w9p5gyXOrC
We are at the launch of @ProjectResistUK & @AngelouCentre1's report Stories of Colour: Why do I have to hide away? Reflections on riots last Summer: Women were scared & hated that they couldn't go out. The Angelou Centre became a shield & they used art to process #trauma.
We stand with @ProjectResistUK’s #SuicideIsHomicide campaign—calling for justice for those who died by suicide linked to domestic abuse.
It’s time to investigate these deaths as potential homicides & provide support for bereaved families.
