Jupiter and the moon are close together tonight, so I captured each of them at high magnification and composited them into the same frame. This is how they look relative to each other in the sky. Jupiter looks 50x smaller in than the moon here, but is actually 2000x further away.
With Earth resources becoming more and more scarce, this asteroid, and others, could be the solution we need to solve this ever-growing crisis.

🤘 Metalheads, digital creators, and people who just rock: Apply by Monday, Aug. 28, for a chance to snap photos and video at @NASAKennedy of the launch of our #MissionToPsyche, set to lift off on a @SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket on Oct. 5. https://t.co/oEuUxBquVE
Psyche is a unique metal-rich asteroid believed to be the core of a failed planet. Yeah, you could say it's hardcore.
The Jezero Crater has a rich history of how it was formed. It potentially holds the key to understanding the past of Mars and if it was once host to ancient microbial life.

What could an ancient river tell us about Mars?
This sample may give us insight into how water once flowed in Jezero Crater.
Water is a key part of life and #MarsSampleReturn could bring this sample to Earth for further study to see if microscopic life ever existed on Mars.
How was your week?
Ours is always great when there's been a launch 🤩🚀

The coolest place in Earth orbit is getting an upgrade 😎
The Cold Atom Lab, a quantum science lab aboard the @Space_Station, makes it easier to study atoms in ways that aren't possible on Earth. The upgrade will expand our research of the quantum realm: https://t.co/srj6Wo19z1
