We have a new preprint online comparing metabolomic signatures of lipid-modifying drug targets using human genetics 🧐 Thanks so much as always to brilliant colleagues @QinFinn@joshuaa_bell@elswob@mendel_random@mvholmes 🥳🥳🥳https://t.co/kLF9bHMmFK
This https://t.co/6guPA99nen came out just before Xmas and I am thinking that now, when you (and me) might be a little bit more triglyceride-rich, it might reach your reading list better... 😉 Many thx for gr8 collaboration @QinFinn@mvholmes@aidanbutty and many others!
Really excited and looking forward to giving the inaugural Stonier Lecture at next week's @FacultyPharmMed Annual Symposium 2020.

Our first study from the SCALLOP consortium is now out. The study investigated data from the @OlinkProteomics CVD-I panel in 30,931 individuals across 14 studies and found 451 loci for 85 plasma proteins: i.e. a really big proteomics-genetics study https://t.co/dDY1src2UX
Our bi-directional MR analysis of over 10,000 traits and atrial fibrillation systematically identified causes and consequences of atrial fibrillation in a hypothesis-free approach. https://t.co/tDrHfWVfO4 @mvholmes@iTomRichardson@ECSanderson@mak_sysepi@mendel_random
There are so many heartbreaking stories, here and elsewhere, of elderly parents dying alone because their adult children not allowed to see them for fear of infection/spreading COVID19. Surely people should have the right to evaluate their risks & decide ..
Insulin-resistant non-diabetic individuals are exposed to a similar adverse postprandial metabolic milieu, and analogous cardiometabolic risk, as those with type 2 diabetes. Results are largely explained by fasting insulin, but not fasting or 2 h glucose. (2/4)
Are you interested in the translational applications of human genetics 🧬 to disease?
If so, we're recruiting!
