@dustinharding Like if you think that selling a car, or getting trade-in value counts as income for you, and you've asked God about it, then do as the Spirit directs. Asking other men about tithing on specific differences in the transaction is a bit much.
@dustinharding I mean, I'm taking a position that I believe is correct, but just take it to God in prayer and go from there.
It's the level of specificity that feels pharisaical, e.g. Pharisees limited foot steps on the Sabbath, which was an unnecessary extension of law.
@surskitmaxxing@RadDawg2 We still appreciate your service in Bakersfield. Your testimony in Jesus Christ has a positive impact in the lives of others. You're a good man.
@noahsmitty2003@HuskerRhetor We pray to the Father because every Scripture on prayer commands it. Praying to anyone other than the one true God is blasphemy. We understand that we have a heavenly mother, and there is no scriptural command to revere her so highly that we avoid mention.
@IfindRetards The extreme diff we see is from two things, 1, age. 2, lens length. Wide angle (24-35mm lens greatly distorts the perspective and ratios of facial features. There's a lesson on this in lens selection for portrait photogs, but red carpet video is always going to use wide angle.
@IterIntellectus 1. If everyone presses blue, everyone survives.
2. If everyone presses red, everyone survives.
3. If most people press blue everyone survives.
4. If most people press red, blue pressers die.
Pressing red is selfish, but safe. Pressing blue might save the life of others.
@Harunakama1@GPrime85 Except we've seen family abuse numbers divided among in-tact family, step-parents, adoptions, etc. and the in-tact families are safest. That's why it has been the societal norm for millennia.
@Vegas895@naturalaristo@bi02247255 Every person who joins themselves to Christ Church "gives up" some heritage. Think especially of someone who came from a non-Christian background and what they give up to become a Christian. The duration of Sunday meetings and the names of young women's groups are not heritage.
@RealSamRogers I just asked my 4 year old (didn't do pre-k). Me: "What is this?"
4YO: "The Moon?"
Me: "How is it lit? What makes it bright?'
4YO: "um.. the sun?"
